Mitchi's POV

Three weeks later, and I haven't seen Street. Not since the night of the gala. Steve walked into the kitchen as I finished making Kala's sandwich. "Hey," I smiled. "Any new information?"

"Mitchi," Steve sighed.

"Don't say you didn't find anything. I talk to Dad, and he said Street left LA," I looked at Steve. "The father, to my daughter, cannot have fallen off the face of the Earth. He's not missing."

"Mitchi, I got his file," Steve handed it to me. I flipped through it. "He's running with ---"

"A Mexican cartel?!" I exclaimed. "He's undercover for a freaking cartel?!"

"Mommy?" Kala backed away from me with fear in her eyes.

"I'm sorry, sweetheart," I sighed. "Come here." She did and I picked her up and hugged her. "Mommy's just frustrated. I have to figure something out."

"We know where they're hiding out," Steve replied. "We're ready to raid. I just need your word, and we can do it."

"Bring him in alive," I looked at him. "I wanna interrogate him."

"Okay, I'll let you know when we got him to the Palace," Steve sighed as he left.

"Kala, Grace will be here soon to spend time with you," I put her down in one of the dining room chairs. "Eat your sandwich." There was a knock on the door. I went and let Grace in. "You know what to do, Gracie. I gotta go take care of something."

"Anything you need, Auntie Mitchi, I'm here," Grace smiled. "Besides, I actually can bond with Kala. She's become like a little sister to me."

"You've grown up on me, Gracie," I nodded. "These past two years weren't easy on your Uncle Steve and I. Especially with Kala's dad coming back into the picture."

"I know," Grace nodded. "I just wanted you to know, even if I don't get to be your maid of honor, I do hope I'm one of your bridesmaids."

"Oh, Gracie," I smiled as I gave her a hug. "You're going to have a part in the wedding."

"Really?" Grace asked.

"I don't know what you're doing yet, but you're in it," I let go. "Because my cousin is trying to take the maid of honor and become my man of honor."

"If anything, you can have two," Grace smiled.

"Yeah," I replied. "More money." My phone vibrated and I looked at it. "I have to go. You two have fun." I grabbed the truck keys and went to the Palace. I walked down to interrogation and Steve was standing outside. "Does he know I'm here?"

"He kinda assumes since we busted in as Five-O," Steve nodded. "I told him you weren't at the raid, so he doesn't think you're the one who's gonna be entering the room."

"Yeah," I sighed. I walked in and Steve walked in right behind me and closed the door. "Seriously?"

"Hi, Mitchi," Street smiled. "Kala doing okay?"

"Don't even bother," I nodded. "How could be so stupid to accept an undercover case into a freaking cartel?"

"Trust me, I had all good intentions at mind when I accepted this case," Street replied. "I can't see Kala for a little while until the cartel gets busted, but that's a risk I'm willing to take."

"It wasn't a risk I was willing to take," I looked at him. "Duke came and offered me that position before you came here." Street looked at me. "I had my undercover time as a street racer, racing these streets of Hawaii. You don't know how hard it was for me to keep my personal life out of my life when I was working that cover."
