The sudden loud roar suddenly entered Zi Gang's ears, causing the little guy to jump in surprise. His small body flinched as he slowly turned his head to where the voice came from.

Calming his beating hard, Zi Gang watched the male lead woke up with sweats pouring down the side of his sideburns, curiosity and confusion welling up inside him.

Zi Gang immediately noticed the male lead's bleak and depressing aura, as if the man just experienced a life and death situation.

A shock expression appeared on Zi Gang's face, his big round eyes blankly stared at the male lead, widening in every second.

The male lead chuckled at his lover's adorable response, torn between wanting to kiss him and wanting to swallow him whole.

Zi Gang's mind at this moment was chaotic as his common sense was flipped. Disbelief and confusion made his face turn green to white.

As his thoughts were spiralled into turmoil, the kitten didn't even bother to give another glance at the snarky comments made by the system.

His mind was still caught up on the name the Li Mu just uttered. His small mouth acted faster as he released a small shriek,

"Meow?!" What did the male lead just say?!

Did I hear it wrong?

The man suddenly leaned in to him, his tousled hair falling down to hide the intense emotions deep in his eyes. His voice was low and dark.

Ignoring the kitten's protests, Li Mu continued, "I'm sorry that I named you Baby, will you forgive me, Zi-er?" The man hummed, his actions exuded inhibition and indolence.

It won't matter if you call me Baby, or Zi-er, if you're that man!

Directing his gaze to Sun Zhao, he replied, "En, thank you for taking care of me these past few days, Sun Zhao."

The old maid who saw her young master gratefully thanked her couldn't help paused, though she didn't know what changed in her young master, she couldn't help but shed a few tears when she thought back to the pitiful state he was in days before.

"Oh, dear me. I'm sorry for crying."As her heart turned soft, she smiled, "This old lady is just happy to see the young master alive and well."

"Bai Ning, you mean?" Sun Zhao paused, her gentle eyes turned sharp as they narrowed.
