Bonds: An Ash Betrayal Story (Hiatus)

Family Reunion

Lillie and I arrived in Kanto. It's been almost six years since I was last here. We landed in Pallet Town as well. They just built this airport last year. Lillie and I got off the plane and started to walk to my house. We were silent the whole time because I'm not gonna lie, I was getting a little emotional. We came up on the main part of town and walked up to my house. I saw Mr. Mime gardening, and I walked up to him,

"Hey Mr. Mime," I said coolly, and his eyes went wide, then he screamed,

"MIME!" Then he hugged me,

"Good to see you too," I said while laughing, 

"Mr. Mime, what is going on out there!?" I heard my mom shout down and come down the stairs. When she opened the door, Lillie and I were standing right there waiting,

"Hey Mom...It's been a long time" I said, trying to hold back tears,

"It has, Ash...." she said lowly, then she gave me a hug only a mother could give., "Welcome home,"

"Do you mind if my girlfriend and I stay here over the course of the next few weeks? We entered a tournament earlier this morning that takes place in Kanto," I asked her,

"Do you even need to ask that?" My mom exclaimed, "Of course you guys can stay!"

"Thanks Mom, and this is Lillie, my girlfriend of five years," I introduced Lillie and she was quickly hugged by Delia,

"It's nice to meet you, Lillie. I heard you are one of Ash's Elites. And you look gorgeous! I love your dress!" She exclaimed, "Has Ash been good to you?" I sweat dropped at that question, of course I have,

"He's been great! I love him so much," She exclaimed back, then she whispered something to Mom,

"You two should get inside and find Ash's old room. I haven't touched anything inside of it since he last left," Mom said with a smile. We all went inside and watched television and overall just hung out. I saw Lillie was able to hit it off with my Mom nicely, and she definitely approves of her. 

I brought my Alpha Pokémon with me. Pikachu was running around the house finding every old toy that he had here. I decided to let my pokemon out in the backyard while Mom and Lillie were talking. They all seemed confused at first, but then I quickly told them we're at my mom's house.

As the Pokémon were running around, I decided to sit on the back porch Mom recently had installed and keep an eye on them. I had questions about what I should do about the traitors. They hurt me, badly, but they were friends of mine. I would like to think that someone put them up to it. Someone told them to let me go, but they sounded so sincere when they wanted me gone. If they wanted me gone, it sounded like they wanted me gone, not someone else, if you get what I'm trying to say.

Anyways, I was watching Garchomp get confused over the different plants in the area as Mom came up behind me and sat down next to me,

"Something on your mind, Dear?" She asked. I at first debated whether or not I should talk about my situation, she knows what happened to me, but I decided to tell her,

"What should I do about "them," I asked, "What if someone set them up? I just want to know if they truly wanted me out of their lives. Everyone from Misty to Serena. They wouldn't do that, at least I think they wouldn't..."

"They're in the tournament aren't they?" My mom retorted, "I cant answer your question, but all I know is that you'll find your answers tomorrow. You'll hear the tone of their voice, see the way they look at you, and hear the words they say to you. Those indicators will give you an idea of how they feel." My mom couldn't have said that any better. I never thought about it like that, but now I feel like I found my answer, 

"Thanks, Mom..." I said lowly, "I should go to bed, it's getting late."

"Goodnight, Ash."

As I walked inside I saw the television advertising the tournament. It mentioned that pretty much all the big name trainers were going to compete in it. Think champions, frontier brains, gym leaders, and elite four groups. I thought nothing of it and decided to head upstairs to my old room, when I got there I found Lillie was already asleep. Jet lag must have gotten to her since it would be midnight in Alola by now. She was sleeping in my bed, but we already share one so she has no trouble with me sleeping with her, even if my bed here is a twin bed. I crawled into bed with her and started to just stare at the ceiling again, then Pikachu came inside the room and found his old bed near my desk. 

I looked and saw some old trophies, which included my Orange Island championship trophy and my frontier symbols were next to it. I got flashbacks to the betrayal, I heard their voices screaming at me in my head. They said I held them back, and I was useless. The usual things some schoolyard bully would say. 

Before my mind could go wild, I felt Lillie turn and snuggle into my chest instinctively. That calmed me down and made my worries wash away. 

I made a final check out the window and saw my Pokémon asleep outside, then, I fell asleep shortly after. Tomorrow is a big day.

Tomorrow is the revenge tour, and none of my Pokémon are going to hold back when that time comes. Tomorrow, we show the traitors what I became. We show them what true friendship does for someone. We show them a new world of Pokémon they didn't know existed, showing them who we are.
