Bonds: An Ash Betrayal Story (Hiatus)

Staff Meeting

I got the details from Goodshow as soon as I asked about signing up. Lillie looked concerned at first but she could tell that this was something special. And she may or may not have heard the conversation,

"When do we sign up Ash?" She asked, 

"Before we do anything I'd like to let everyone else in on this. They won't pass this up." I replied sternly. Lillie knew that I took business very seriously. She does too. Battling is our full time job after all, 

"Good idea," she replied, "You go and relax with the Pokémon while I talk to the others. You deserve a break,"

"You sure?" I asked. She simply nodded and smiled, "Alright, good luck Lillie, and make sure to let me know how it goes." With that, she kissed me on the cheek and headed off to town. Our offices are in town, so she'll be back in a few hours.

In the meantime, I went outside and found my Venosaur basking in the sun, and I had the idea of calling a staff meeting of my own,

"Hey Venosaur!" I shouted from the door, "Mind firing a Solar Beam and getting everyone gathered up here?" Without hesitation, the beam was fired and within minutes Pokémon were coming in from all directions,

"Good to see you all," I said happily, "First thing's first, here is the food I promised that I would make you." I began filling up bowls and setting them by each Pokémon,

"Now down to business," I said and they all looked up, "We're entering a tournament, it consists of the best trainers in the world." The minute I said that, they all roared in approval, "Now, I'm going to make sure you all get some reps in the tournament so you guys don't feel left out, so I will assemble teams based on the battles we will be facing. There are 128 trainers in the tournament, so that means you all will have lots of opportunities." Again, the Pokémon roared in excitement, which is so nice to hear.

Once the meeting ended, I let the Pokémon go and play around. Some were training too, but the time was theirs. I went back into my house and went up to my room. I looked at my badge cases from all my travels that adorned the walls, along with countless photographs of different points in my adventure. I looked to the one that was my reunion with my old travel companions and lamented,

"If only you all knew how much I cared..." 

I decided to lay down for a moment and just relax. I got on my side of the bed and stared at the ceiling, pondering what I could have been with my old friends. As I was looking up I saw Snowy walk into the room. Snowy usually is a heavy sleeper, so she is probably wondering where Lillie ended up going,

"Hey Snowy," I said as I looked over to her, and she jumped up onto my chest, "Ack, you aren't a little Vulpix anymore," I said as I laughed a little bit, "Lillie went out to the office for a little bit, she should be on her way home now," After hearing that, Snowy just laid down on top of me and fell asleep, I sighed and just went with it. 

As I was brushing Snowy's fur while she was asleep, I heard Lillie come in the door, along with three other people who I assumed to be Brock, Miette, and Gary. So, I tapped Snowy's head to wake her up,

"She's home," I said cutely as she barked and ran down in excitement. I got up and headed down the stairs as well behind Snowy and came to see exactly who I expected to see,

"Hey guys, what are you doing here?" I asked confused, 

"Lillie told us everything, we just came to let you know that we're in," I heard Brock say confidently,

"I heard Serena is entering, so I would personally like to be her retribution for what she did to you," Miette exclaimed. She always had a rivalry with Serena, but when she found out about the betrayal even she was surprised that someone like her would do that,

"You think we're gonna just sit out of a prestigious tournament like this, Ashy-boy?" Gary asked mockingly, "Not a chance, we live for this stuff!" 

"Well, I'm glad you're all going with me. I better face one of you in the finals if you decide to go all in. I'm just in it to wipe out my former friends, but I'll see from there." I said coldly. They knew how much I hated them, but even through the hatred, they saw that I really did want to see if I can get them back.

"So Ash, when are we leaving?" Lillie asked? 

"Pack your bags everyone, we're off to Kanto. We have a tournament to win." I said confidently as Everyone immediately rushed out to get ready. Gary, Brock, and Miette all left right away and Lillie and I went to our room to start packing,

"This will be your first trip to Kanto in a few years," Lillie stated, "You ready for it?"

"I never go into something I'm not ready for," I said bluntly, "Besides, It will be nice to visit my mother again. I need to tell her stuff I should have said long ago,"

"I know you miss her, but she'll be happy to see you again," Lillie said while smiling, "I bet she'll let us stay at her house for our trip,"

"Yeah...That would be amazing," I lamented, "I guess I'm in need of some parental guidance right now,"

"I'm sure she'll help you with your issues, just like I have," She said,

"I know she will," I responded as we headed to the airport.
