My eyes were closed, but I was awake now. The dirty cement floor pressed against my face as I lay there, uncomfortably, wondering what I was doing. I opened my eyes slowly to see only a torch lighting half the room I was in. It, although bright, could not light the entire room, as it was far too big. I got up and looked around. "Where am I?" I said aloud, although I didn't hear or see anyone. The room was cold. My clothes were in tatters, as if I had been dragged through gravel. My body told the same story, having little cuts all over front of my body and my face. I paused my thoughts as the stinging pain from my wounds began to electrify my whole body. The gravity of what was going on had just begun to sink in, I was taken and trapped in a room with no doors as I shiver in cold pain. I began to feel claustrophobic. All of a sudden I began to push the walls screaming, "Someone, help me!". I was frantic, so I started to look for a handle, switch, or anything I could that might get me out of this. As I turned back to the torch, a shadow darted past my peripheral. I turned to look at what moved and it disappeared into the darkness of the other half of the room. After a long while of searching every nook and cranny, I found nothing. In, what felt like hours, I lost all hope of escape and felt like I was losing my mind.

I sat, dejected, and lost. I wanted to go home.
