Pancakes
fluffy and soft
pouring the syrup on top...
The pancakes
soaking up the sugary substance
as it drips down the sides
some falls on the plate
little puddles of maple
cutting the fluffy goodness with a fork
it goes into your mouth
the buttermilk flavor mixing
with the sugary sweetiner
as well as the small amount of butter
melting in your mouth
you look at the plate
then mumble
"Shoot this is good"
quietly congratulating yourself
you shovel the rest into your mouth
feeling you've died and gone to heaven
