You Stole My Youth - Poem

I was willing,
I own that,
I wasn't ready,
I told you that,
I wasn't prepared for what was to come next,
Because you stole my youth,
And I was willing to give it to you,
You took me on many adventures,
And I was captured by you,
Your embrace,
I ran to and not from,
You stole my youth and I trusted you,
Cause your arms I believed was where I belonged,
You say I stole your youth,
But you chose me to stay,
We picked up our pieces,
The corners that frayed,
We moved in the directions of our hearts,
And that is where I found you,
And if it's going to happen, let it happen,
Steal my youth,
I'm willing to come with you.
