Chapter 19: The Beginning of the End

"She's just unconscious." Luke said with a smile on his face. "But how are we going to get her outta here safely?"

To be honest, nobody knew what to do with her.

"Okay, we can abandon the idea of getting the suits, but we must find a large building to get to!" Alex said to the pack.

"Let's head to the Aon Center." Chad pointed out.

The Aon Center is a large building with no guards protecting it (Thats what they thought).

The bus swerved around another corner, and thankfully, there were no people trying to shoot them. They were not being hunted either.

They were now in the heart of downtown and Alex was getting more and more nervous.

Suddenly, a siren went off.

There were then hundreds of bandits running out of buildings with their masks on. A few stared at them.

"What the hell are you doing out here? There are bloody zombies in the city!" One yelled at them.

Alex was speechless. All that came out of his mouth was uhh's and ahhh's.

"Halt! Imposters!!!" A few shouted in perfect unison. "Kill them all!!!"

Alex stepped on it. He dashed through the streets and nearly tipped over with every turn. But the bandits were after them, and they didn't have much time.

"Uggh. Where am I?" Sabrina said from the back.

"We're going to get away from these bandits and into a big building!" Drake said from the back.

Sabrina leaned her head back and slipped into unconsciousness.

Alex spotted the massive Aon Center and parked the truck right beneath it.

Chad grabbed Sabrina and began dashing for the building.

The rest of the gang followed.

As soon as they entered the building, a large explosion came from outside.

The glass along the entrance shattered into a million pieces and cut into people's skin like miniature knives.

The bandits had destroyed their truck.

And the bandits were going to destroy them next.
