“yeah?” she open her eyes
“stay.. please” I sigh and nodded, I laid next to her facing the door, waiting for her to go into a deep sleep.
“Axel can I ask you something..” I hear Nancy
“Um sure” I turn to face her, her eyes were close.
“Do you… love me?” I didn’t know what to say.. for a moment
“I do..” I do love her… as a sister. I saw a tear far down, I was about to say something when she cuts me off
“but you’re not in love with me…” I bit my lip
“no… I’m not” I said quietly
“I heard you were on the phone with Abby..” I stayed quiet, I didn’t know what to say. what did she hear?
“I want you to be completely honest when I ask you this okay?” that's when she open her eyes, I nod
“All that time you spend with.. um Abby did something happen between you two? that was more than a friend way.” I look away from her.
“yes..” I whisper
“since w-when?” she asked, I put my hands on my eyes
“..today” She began to sob, I sat up and pulled her into a hug.
“I’m sorry… I’m not gonna lied and say that I’m sorry of what happen between me and her because I’m not, but for making you feel this way, for making you cry” I said into her ear, she wipe eyes
“A-xel, one of the t-hings I al-always like about y-you is that you we-re always s-o honest” I give her a sad smile “Are you in love with her?” am I?
“I don’t know... I think so” I have liked her since we were kids…
“does this mean we’re done?” I asked, she nods
“yeah..but c-an you do me a f-favor?”
“sure” she calmed herself down
“can you just stay for today… I don’t want to be alone, just till I fall asleep” she says
“Okay” we both laid there and fell asleep..

*BEEP*BEEP*BEEP*
“What is that?” I groaned then I feel something move on my side, I open my eyes to see Nancy.. shit I forgot I stayed here.
“it’s my.. alarm..” she said, I looked at the time it was 7:10am.. today monday! I quickly sat up
“I have to go” I said I reached the door.
“Axel”
“Yeah..” I said
“thank you” I turn back
“Anytime and… I’m sorry, I'm really am” she nod and with that I left, I went straight to school. there was a couple minutes left for school to start so I could look for Abby. When I got there I saw people were barely coming, I’m pretty Abby still haven’t got here. So I waited outside the school and look out for her car, it was getting pretty cold. I finally saw Gabe and Devon walking together, but then I saw Devon headed to the back of the school… weird
Gabe was walking towards the school so I went up to him.
“Hey did you see Abby yesterday?” I asked
“yeah.. look I have this thing to do soo bye” He began to walk faster, I quickly stopped him
“something’s up, tell me” I gave him a serious look so he would see I wasn't playing games.
“Abby left” he whisper, I licked my lips
“what do you mean ‘she left’?” I left my heart beat faster as if I was hoping I was hearing wrong
“As in she left back home” I shook my head
“No, she couldn’t she was gonna stay here for the rest of the year. It’s barely even winter” he shrugged
“She text me and Devon saying she leaving and we drop her off today this morning at six that’s why Devon so sad and grumpy, I don’t know what happen but she seem really off and scared when she left like she really didn’t want to be here no more, that’s all I have to say” he said and headed inside the school.
no no no! she couldn’t I ran to my car and speed all the way to her hotel. I got off the car and ran inside
“Excuse me, Sir. No running please” like I cared, I reached Abby room and began to knock on the door like a crazy man.
“Abby open the door!” I began to pound on the door.
“dude you’re gonna break the door” I turn to see Darian
“where is she?!” his eyebrows go up
“she gone, man. You just missed her” he said, I lean on the wall
“this is my fault” I felt my eyes watery
“nah, it’s not your fault” he says
“there’s something different about you..” I said
“oh I’m not talking that formal, I guess. It’s part of my job” he shrugged, I nod. I slowly sat on the floor
“do you know why she left?” I asked, he nods
“some man came and started beating her. She got scared and left… I would have done the same” I balled my hand to a fist
“Do you know who was it?” I ask in a low voice
“it’s not my place to tell.. sorry”
“so she really did leave?” I whisper
“yeah.. sorry, man. Well I gotta go, my job is done here. Take care” he pat me on the back and walked down the hall. I finally let the tears fall out, why did she have to leave?
what am I going to do? she walked out of my life like years ago, but this time.. it really hurts
