Abigail woke up when Sam moved from his spot on the bed where, unknown to her, Sam's arms had moved around her — as hers did to him. She made a noise of pain as he hurried to the toilet, hurling. Abigail's nose scrunched, but she was too focused on the mark on her waist which was slowly throbbing.

Abigail sat up straight as she looked at the darkened veins. She sighed and lowered her shirt as her phone rang. She looked at it, her eyes widening at the sight of Jo's name. She smiled and grabbed her phone, ready to answer. However, she realised Sam was throwing up on the opposite side of the room puking his guts out.

"What, are you in love with Sam?" Jo's words rang through her mind.

Abigail took her phone and hurried from the room, running into Dean. "Out of my way," she demanded, pushing him inside the room and closing the door.

Abigail let out a breath she never knew she was holding and answered Jo's call. "Hey," Abigail greeted, relieved. "I'm sorry. I am so, so sorry."

"Let me go first," Jo demanded. Abigail stopped. Oh, shit — was this the end? "I love you, Abigail. But you don't love me. You love Sam."

Abigail shook her head. "No," Abigail said, choking up. "Jo, I don't. I love-"

"No. I'm not-I can't go through this again. You love me but you're not in love with me. I see it in your eyes," Jo told Abigail. "And... This hurts me to say, but-"

"Then don't say it!" Abigail exclaimed.

"We can't be together." Abigail closed her eyes and bit her lip. "I'm sorry, but you're hiding things and I can't trust you."

"Jo, please," Abigail pleaded.

"Goodbye, Abigail."

The line went dead.

The door opened behind Abigail as she stared at the wall, her heart thumping against her chest. "Hey, come on. We're interviewing the grandma," Sam spoke.

Abigail looked to her feet. "I-I'm really tired, I think I'm gonna get more sleep," she said, pushing passed the brothers and closing the door.
