I started today with lofty plans on writing 6 or 7 thousand words and catching up to the running goal of 40k. Needless to say it didn't happen.
Taking the kids to school was the first job of the day and then I returned to write. I got distracted, and now have a sparkling oven and bathroom.
I managed to write 1500 words before picking up the daughter. Then to lunch. We had no bread and as a loaf was rising I didn't want to buy any. We did have wraps so I made us roast dinner wraps with the left overs from yesterday. I thought it was rather tasty but the girl was less impressed.
She didn't seem terribly well so we snuggled until it was time to get the boy. A new supermarket opened today so we traipsed over to join the rest of the town in having a look.
Once home we made cakes which the kids decorated. The cakes even rose, a bit of a result for me.
After tea I settled down to write and passed the 35k mark.
