“why am I doing this?” I asked
“I want to see if you have a concussion, stay still” He pull my face close to his and open my right eye wide. Then move me to the side where the sun hit me.
“ugh too bright” I said, he didn’t say anything and moved to the my left eye.
“Do you feel like vomiting?” he asked
“no..”
“do you hear ringing?”
“Nope.. just a really bad headache, but I’m pretty sure was because my head hit the wall” he nods
“Do you feel dizzy?”
“nope” I said
“Stand up for me..”
I got up.
“walk.” I took some steps and walked back to the bed.
“you could sit, do you see clearly?” I sat down
“yup” I smile
“How do you feel” he asked
“I feel fine minus the headache” I said
“I don’t think you have a concussion, you seem to know what you’re saying without messing up. Now do remember what happen?” I bite my lip and nod.
“okay so why do-” I heard a slam and we both turn to see Darain, his eyes go wide and ran towards me.
“Abby are you okay?! who was that guy, you need anything t-” I put my hand over his mouth
“Darain, I’m fine. I just tried” I said looking him in the eyes, I sigh
“It was nothing, okay?” He removed his hand
“Abby, That guy was gonna kill you..” I took a deep breath
“can I tell you tomorrow.. please?” I asked quietly, he stared at me for a minute or so then nod and got up to leave.
“Darian..” he stops
“Yeah..?”
“I’m sorry” he looks back at me, walks back toward me
“just tell me tomorrow” kisses my forehead, I felt tears build up.
“Don’t tell my dad” I said in a serious quiet voice. If he tells him I’m gonna be send back, I won’t see Devon, gabe and most of all Axel..
“no promises” he gives me a sad smile
“Just give me a day, please” he stares at me
“Please.. just one day that’s all I’m asking” I said
“Okay one day and that’s all then I’m calling” I nod with that he got up and walks to the door.
“and Darian.. “
“yes?” he looks back
“did you get the man?” I asked
“...no, he was gone by the time I went outside to look for him” I nod
“okay..” I whisper
“I’ll be back, I’m going to look through the security cameras” then left.
Someone cleared their voice, I looked at the guy who was asking me questions.
“Sorry about that.. thingy” I said
“It’s fine um back to what we were doing.. I was gonna ask what happen?” I didn’t say anything
“okay, I see this is very personal so I’m going to tell Darian to check you tomorrow morning to see if you sleep well” he says, I nod. There was a long pause between us
