Another two months flowed by slowly, Derek had started to wait for me before going to work, and I'd follow him home since he started coming out sooner probably got bored of carying me home at least another week after the event, i groaned laying my head in my desk just thinking about the time at the ice rink with Derek, but also how scared Derek was around other, I never seen him so scared before, I looked at my hands and held up four fingers "four months left" i mumbled to myself, the orignal deal forgotten I just wanted Derek to not be afraid of others anymore
"For what?" I jumped at the sound of his voice wincing when I banged my knee on the desk and Derek just stared at me for a moment while I nursed the pain it inflicted "are you ok?"
"I'm fine" i groaned "ugh four months before i have been here a year?" I tried raising an eyebrow trying not to seem like I was questioning myself or coming up with some stupid plan that evolved around Halloween and getting Derek to socialise before then
He frowned but nodded before walking away, I let out another groan as Erica, Lydia and Peter came over "you never told us what happened at the event you keep avoiding us" Erica said with a pout
"Never mind that, what are we doing on Halloween?" They all looked at each other then me with blank faces and I groaned "nothig, serious nothing, can't we do some like Halloween party or something with the company or some people i don't know"
"I can set that up" Peter said with a grin, this might actually be fun with them, and it would hopefully bring Derek out a bit "but only if you wear a matching outfit with Derek"
"Only if you can get him to go and dress up in the first place I rarely see him out of a suit and he's never at home to lounge about casually" the smirk on Peter's face says he's already got that planned and covered and I think I am going to regret this
Erica and lydia where smirking so I gave them a questioning look "he was watching you before he spoke and scared the living crap out of you" Erica spoke
"Wasn't just a quick glance, he was staring he didn't even see us notice him" Lydia added where Peter just grinned with his arms folded
"Oh my god, go away you bunch of stalkers and go and sort his Halloween thing out, go" I said shooing them with my hand "go be gone"
"I want to know about the event" Erica whined as she walked away with the other two
