Thank you, thanks for being there for me even when you don't agree with me.
Lakken walked up behind me and asked if everything was alright which cause me to lose the mind-link connection with Onida. As I turn a bit to the left, my hands instantly cover my eyes, my mouth. Hell, I just hid my entire face. Kneeling before me on one knee was Lakken and in his hand was the most beautiful engagement ring I had ever laid eyes one. It sparkled and shined when the sun shined down on it and he just held it and smiled up at me.
"Nayeli, I know you have had nothing but heartbreak and trouble since we've decided to become one in this relationship. There are many ways for you to be happy in this world with out all this trouble I've brought you. Although, I would love it, if you would grow old with me, because the best has yet to be. I promise no one will work harder to make you happy or cherish you as much as me. With all that being said, I will love you forever, every single day. Will you marry me?"
Wiping all the tears off my face and cleared my throat and just stared at him for a few moments.
"Lakken, you have done nothing but bring me joy. My life might have some dark in it but when I look in your eyes all I see is light. You make my heart full, you make it complete. I'd be a fool not to marry you. So yes, of course I'll marry you!"
He stood up quickly, grasping me around the waist and spinning me in circles as he held on tight. I just took his face in my hands and just held him. Starring into his eyes and seeing nothing but pure joy and happiness. As he lowered me, I placed a kiss on his warm lips and the world fell away causing me to get lost in the electricity. It was slow and soft, sending this tingling sensation up my spine and butterflies straight to my heart. I rested my hand right below his ear, caressing is cheek with my thumbs as two breaths become one. All that could be heard, was just the beating of my heart pressing against his chest. The electric sensation is soon lost when he pulled away and placed my feet back on the ground, still holding me close. He took his hand a tucked a piece of stray hair behind my ear then just stared into my eyes. Getting lost in his, I just stood there asking myself, how did I get so lucky? Not being able to answer my own question, I wrapped my arms around him and just hugged tight.
"So, this is what safe feels like?"
"It is. I'm your soulmate right? No matter what the rest of the world says?"
" Of course you are. What kind of silly question is that?"
"Well, as your soulmate, I'm here to be your greatest teacher. I'll challenge you, drive you crazy, and stir your deepest passions. All while being your biggest protector. You'll never have to worry about anything, as long as I am by your side."
"I love you, Lakken."
"I love you too, Nay. Forever and always."

Remi-
It's almost dinner time as we finish wrapping up the final Alpha training of the day. I could here mom pacing outside the office. Nayeli, hadn't made it home yet and it was driving her insane. Being as Nayeli was mommy's little girl and all. It was very unusual for her to be gone this long though, I'd be a fool if I didn't say that it bugged me a little too. Dad is over in the corner, filing today's paperwork in the filing cabinet. That old brute doesn't let to much get to him.
"Hey, dad?"
"Yes, son?"
"Why do think Nayeli hasn't come back yet. Or at least mind-link mom to let her know she was going to be late?'
"Boy, you are just as worrisome as that mother of yours that is slowly walking a worn down path in the hallway outside the door. Give the girl some breathing room, she is an adult now. I'm sure she'll fill us in soon as she gets home."
"I can't help but to let it bother me, knowing damn well she's been with that non-mate of a wolf all day. I'm sorry but I still don't trust him. What kind of man robs a young girl of true love with her mate."
"Remi, don't start. I have everything cover in here. Go help your mother get ready for dinner so I can get stuff done without your hundred questions and the sound of her pacing out side the door. You to are making it hard fore me to even think straight.
"Fine..."
I opened the door and he was right. There mom stood just waiting for one of use to come to the door. She finds it disrespectful to interrupt any kind of Alpha meetings whether it's an actual meeting or training. Only way she would ever intervene, is if it was an emergency. Making her presence known, now that was a whole other story. Chuckling to myself, I place my hand on the lower of her back and usher her towards the dining room. Looking straight towards the foyer before hanging a left, Nayeli walked in the front door. Her face was all lit up. Well that was until her eyes met mine. I dropped my hands to my sides and lost all happiness. Concern was all that began to consume me.
