Stiles' Jeep and James' car was parked right next to each other at the high point so you could see the whole town.
Harper was sitting on the car's hood looking up at the full moon while James was standing leaning against the car's hood.
Scott was sitting on the front of Stiles' Jeep also looking up at the full moon while Stiles was leaning on the side of the Jeep looking down at the map over California as he was making some marks on the map.
"All right, so I found some cool two bedrooms in the Mission District, but they're pretty expensive. A couple in Haight and Ashbury. Also expensive" Stiles said "What about Berkeley? Don't a lot of students live around there?" Harper asked "Yeah, yeah, we could try Nob Hill. But, the Jeep would probably burn through a lot of clutches" Stiles said and Scott looked at him "You're bringing the Jeep?" he asked "You know the plan, okay? No one gets left behind. That's the plan" Stiles said.
"Yeah. Lydia's not gonna have a problem getting into Stanford. Kira's thinking USF" Harper said "And Malia, uh, gonna, you know, she'll figure something out while I am working on looking for colleges that can lead to me working in the pentagon, Interpol or as a lawyer" James said "And I'm trying to figure something out" Harper said "The plan's perfect" Stiles said "So nobody gets left behind" Harper said "Or we could also wait until we actually get into college and then figure out where to live" Scott said "I like that idea" James said.
Stiles looked at Scott "I have a vision, dude. Okay? And it is a beautiful vision" Stiles said "It's a beautiful vision, so don't ruin the vision" Harper said.
Stiles then looked back at the map "Okay, we can check out the East Bay. Haven't looked at Oakland yet, you know" Stiles said and looked up at Scott who was looking at the full moon. Stiles also noticed that Harper and James was quiet too and they were also looking up at the full moon.
"You guys alright?" Stiles asked and the twins looked at him "Yeah we are fine" Harper said "Not feeling about losing control" James said and Stiles nodded before he looked at Scott "Scott, you all right? You starting to feel it?" Stiles asked "No. Just thinking" Scott said "About what?" Stiles asked "Senior year" Scott answered "Senior year, come, that's, that's...That's nothing. That's going to be easy" Stiles said "It's more like something Deaton told me once" Scott said "And what is that?" Harper asked "You three ever hear of regression on the mean?" Scott asked "No, I don't think so" Stiles said "We have" the twins said.
"It's basically his way of saying that life can't ever be all bad or all good. You know, eventually things have to come back to the middle. So, think about the last few months. Things have been good, right? But not amazing" Scott said "Yeah, but no one's tried to kill us in six months either" Stiles said "Right. We've been pretty much in the middle for a while. Which means, at some point, the scale has to tip one way or the other. Things are gonna get really good again..." "Or really bad" Stiles finished for him.
