CHAPTER 28

Dave's P.O.V.

~*~*Flashback*~*~

"Hey Scar, guess who's here!" I shouted from the door as I let my brother in. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. When I turned around, I saw Miguel hiding at the side of the staircase when Scar reached the end.

"Who is it?" She asked looking around confused.

"BOO!" He shouted startling her.When she saw who it was, her face immediately brightened as she jumped in his arms.

"Uncle Miguel!" She shouted and My brother chuckled while spinning her around.

"Hey bear, how is my favorite niece?" He asked and Scarlett narrowed her eyes at him.

"I'm your only niece uncle." She said.

"I know but that doesn't mean you can't be my favorite." He said and she laughed. I shook my head at them both and walked to he kitchen. They followed me in and I continued making breakfast. 

"What are you doing here?" She asked taking a seat beside him at the island. 

"What I can't come and look for my family anymore?" He asked narrowing his eyes at her. Her eyes widened at his assumption and quickly corrected him.

"Of course you can, I was just wondering." She said blushing slightly. 

"I'm here to discussion 'grown up' things with you father." He said.

"Uncle, I'm 14. I'm basically a grown up." She said and I chuckled at her. She has been saying that since she turned 14. I do talk to her about 'grown up' stuff. She getting older and there are things that she needs to understand about the type of family she is in.

"Sure you are but it's between me and Dave here so run along so I can talk to him ok?" He said and she pouted and walked away.

Once she was out of earshot, he began to speak.

"Dave, what are you going to do about this gang that has been attacking? If you don't do something about it, they will overpower you and you might die." He said and I clenched my teeth together in annoyance.

"Don't you think I know that Miguel? It has been racking my brain ever since they attacked the second time. Phillip and I have been having constant meetings about how to attack them but Dave, we don't know where to find them. We don't know their name, where their base is they just pop up out of nowhere, attack people and just disappear. It's fucking annoying and frustrating because we can't get to them!" I said and sat at the island with my head in my hands."

Ever since the first attack, I've been trying to find out where they are but they clean up their tracks so well, it's impossible to find them.

"Alright, calm down Dave and let's think this through. They have attacked twice. I have a feeling that they will be coming again so we must prepare for it. We need to watch the tapes on the camera and see how they operate. We need to be one or two steps ahead of them at all times. They are smart, I have to admit but we can be smarter if we pay attention to the tiny details that we overlook." He said and I sat up paying attention  to what he's saying.

"I suggest let's drive back to the gang house and see what we can find out the put together a plan so when they attack again, they won't get what is coming to them." Miguel said and I nodded. I went to my room to tell my wife that I'll be back while miguel went to go tell Scar bye or he went to give her something.
