Fire and ice

Chapter One

"fire! Fire!" i hear a loud scream,and quickly jump out of my bed

"rose get out of here!" i look up to see my brother standing at the door

I quickly do as he says and i grab a bag and throw some of my clothes and a box my mother had left me before she passed away.

"come on" my brother Luke says grabbing the bag from my hands

A few minutes after i find myself standing outside my home and i look around to see all the fields that my father and i have worked so hard on growing on fire, not only ours but all the farms around us as well.

"what's going on?" i ask my father who is as astonished as i am.

"i don't know rose, but Mr.porter called and said it's happening at their farm as well"

I nod and my two siblings and i get into my father's van and drive, not knowing where we are going but my dad just drove and drove until i felt my eyes getting heavier and i fell asleep.

"rose,wake up" i hear my little sister say.

I get up and look out of the window to see my aunt Katherine's house infront of me.

"stephan,are you all okay?" she says to my father as soon as she opens the door.

"yes, yes we're all fine. The house is probably burnt down by now" he says with a look of sadness in his eyes.

"come in" she tells us.
