After that scene with Arlo I began to have a constant argument with myself.
Thinking back and forth whether I like him again or not. Or if I should trust him with my feelings again.

The next morning was quiet.
I would say something to Ryu and she would reply with a shrug.
She said she would hang out with her other friends today so she left me before we could go to campus.

I'm too afraid to know what's bothering her. I'm afraid she doesn't want to be my friend anymore or know why.

Anyways, I'll just think about nothing today. Don't want to deal with no bullshit.
But how could I when I just saw a space-bunned girl walk inside the cafeteria all beat up. And I'm certain it was John because he walked in right after.
He acted all innocent and shit.

John walked in front of where I was sitting.

"I know what you doing. Still terrorising students and being denial about it?" I taunt.

John shot up a glare at me.

Two students got into an argument then John turned around and left.
What a creepy dude.
Let's follow him.

A few seconds after he left, I walked out the cafeteria too.
Cloaking my existence from any person that comes near by. In other words, I'm invisible extreme.

I see John take a quick corner putting on a...lunch...bag...

What the hell is wrong with him. A mother fücking lunch bag? To hide his identity? Oh my he is bonkers.

When he turned I hear the sound of muffled pain.

I peer around the corner and I was right. John is beating up a weakling. He isn't giving her any mercy. The green haired girl is getting punched, elbowed, and kicked all over with no breaks. Blood is dripping down her wounds. Her face is all bruised up.
John grabs her by the collar.

"P-please...Please let me go." She began crying in absolute agony.
"I don't know what I did to deserve this...but whatever it is! I'm sorry! I'm so so sorry! Please I promise I won't tell anyone about this! I-I'm just a lowly mid-tier!"
I kind of felt bad for her.

I mean, what did she do to be hurt like this? Obviously she might of hurt him at some point or hurt—or she hurt Seraphina. Damn this tea is good.

John punched her face and then BAM! A hardcore punch to the face again that literally left her on the floor. I thought he was done but nope. He kicked her in her stomach. Blood smeared on the blue floor.
And just like that John left.

I had the urge to attack John here and now but no. Now it is not the time.
Not yet.

I de-cloak myself and walk up to the girl.
Damn she got demolished.
A girl was walking by, I cloak myself, and she sees only the beaten down mid-tier on the floor.
Guess I didn't have to do anything.

•••

The next day, as always. Rumours were spiralling. Apparently that girl was the author of the article about Sera. That's why John beat her half to death.
Fucking lunatic.

Also, what the hell. People are thinking Asslo did it. They think he attacked her.
Literally today I heard these girls gossiping. And I kinda scared them by saying, "Hi, do you like it when your hair naturally falls or do you like to run your mouth and someone rips it?"

(Guess the reference on that line. ☝︎︎Its from a vine)

I bumped into Ryu during school between periods. She was hanging out with some mid-tiers. Instead of squirming like a weakling as usual when she interacts with high-tiers. She and her new friend group glare at me with nasty yet scared looks. They told Ryu to keep walking but Ryu knew I wouldn't hurt her.

She knew one of my strongest weakness.

Her.

I value her...She was the only person willing to be my friend without knowing my power.

"Ryu" I stand in front of her with a calm face. Knowing what she wanted to tell me.

She wasn't my friend anymore.

Ryu give me one more look and walks to her next class with her sidekicks.

My powers were always a gift and a curse. I learned to live without relying on them too much. Now all that work is tossed in the fucking garbage. She changed. Because the school is changing.
Maybe this is a good thing. She is showing her true colours.

No.
This is his fault.
