A distant memory of what haunts me,  like shadows.
I tried to run from whom it made me become, but then it became an unending chase.
I remember the anger its intensity, every time I blamed you for my becoming.
I tried to shine a light on a way out from the damming caves of deception.
But it didn't help the shadows as it camped on my shoulder
Intent on being a ghostly reminder of my failures.
The past had me tense until I finally relaxed in the darkness.
Soaking in its greatness.
Accepting my shadows caved in from the light.
