Tale of defeet

I dusted my feet
Mindful of the dirt in which I've tread.
Clean my toes with fancy tools.
Watched as blood dripped from my eyes.
Had cut my wrist to ease the pain
My soul swimming in shallow wind.
Thought to sell my soul
I sought death that hard
And then awake;
To misty rainbows
A bed of roses
The heart monitor singing boring tunes
I clench my eyes from terror
The fear of what has become
And with a broken heart
My body floating on wheels of misfortune
My eyes again begins to flood
As I hope to sleep
To dream again.
