Chapter Four - Matt, stop being stubborn

It was a week later. And I had managed to snag a detention with Matt. Much against my will.

So here we were. Me sitting in a desk in front of Matt. And him standing, arms crossed, in front of his desk, leaning against it with a stubborn look on his face.

"Matt. Stop being so stubborn" I said, hoping the use of his first name would trigger something but he just sighed sassily and averted his eyes to the ceiling in corner of the room, I laughed at his persistence.

"Your face is going to get stuck like that Matty." I said and smirked as he dropped his gaze to me and glared

"That's Mr. Sanders to you, young lady" he unfolded his arms and nearly stomped around his desk and sat in his chair. Pulling a bandana and SnapBack combo onto his head and adding on his aviators

"Fine. Be that way" I said and added the same hat and bandana combo. Along with my own aviators

I dialled my uncles number, which he answered immediately

"Ohhhh zaaaaackyyyyy" I bellowed into the phone and I could almost see him pulling the phone away from his ear

"What now?" He said, chuckling

"Matt-I mean. Mr. Sanders is being a meanie" I said, putting emphasis on 'Mr. Sanders' for affect.

"Both of you come to the music room. We'll get the stubbornness out of him sweetie" Zack said and I smiled and thanked him before hanging up and walking up to Matt's desk

"Come on. Zacky wants us in the music room" I said and walked out of the classroom, knowing he'd follow, and as I walked down the corridor and glanced in a mirror on one of the trophy display cases I saw that Matt had indeed been following me. That thought made me smirk.

I entered the music room to see Brian Zacky Johnny and Jimmy waiting

Brian tossed me his guitar and I smiled and slung it over my shoulder as Matt glanced at us all with confusion

"Oh no. No no no" he said with a perfect dimpled smile.

"Ashley here has a brilliant idea for a song for Waking the Fallen. Show em, Ash" Zacky said and I smiled and started playing the riff that would later on be Brian's and the rest of the band members soon joined in

I let the words Zacky and I wrote flow, well..scream, from my lips without a second thought as I stepped up to the microphone and let Zacky sing his part in unison with my screaming before my actual singing part came in

Murder, liar, vengeance, deceit

"Well stubborn boy, what do you think?" I asked Matt and his only reaction was a huge dimpled smile adorning his face as he ran up to me and picked me up, hugging me

"I think it's amazing" he said and stared into my eyes

"See? Told you this would make the stubbornness go away" Zacky said and Johnny slapped his chest

"Way to ruin a moment, bro" Zacky laughed at Johnnys words before gaining a serious expression

"No. There will be no 'moments'. Especially not with that stubborn child" Zacky said sternly as if he was my father. I just laughed and hugged him before walking over to Brian and giving him his guitar

I strolled cooly over to Matt. He slung his arm around my shoulders

"We're having a practice tonight. It'll be at your place because you deserve to be there not only to here me scream and sing your song but also just because you're a part of the group." Matt said and everyone agreed so I smiled and began walking back to Matt's classroom after saying bye to everyone

"We still have detention remember?" I said to Matt and he groaned but followed me, making everyone laugh.
