Astrid's POV:
I walked up the stairs and into Skye's room. I heard sobbing but I couldn't find where it was coming from. I looked everywhere until I thought about the bed. I knelt down and peered under the bed. Surely enough my little sister was hiding under the bed. I crawled under the bed with her.
"Hey!" I said.
"Hey," she said softly.
"Are you okay?"
"Not really, they said that they would never leave us or judge me!" she sniffed.
"Come out and lets talk about this," I said as I crawled out of my hiding spot.
"Okay," she replied as she came out.
I sat on her bed and pulled her onto my lap.
"Listen sis, this is just a bump in the road and you will get over it just like every other bump, I know you will!"
"It's such a huge bump!"
"I know but you can do it!"
"Astrid, can you sleep with me tonight?"
"Sure, I would be honoured!"
We hugged and went downstairs.
Later that night:
I was with Skye in my room because I had a bigger bed. I was keeping her warm by wrapping my arms around her.
"Asty, I can't sleep!" she moaned.
"Shame, what do you want me to do?" I asked sympethetically.
"Can you sing for me?"
"I guess...let me think?"
I thought for a minute until a song came to mind.
"Invisible"
Crowded hallways are the loneliest places
For outcasts and rebels
