house tour + stanley

the first floor of the house was finished today which was great.

tara and jake are moving into their place tomorrow so we're just going to live at their house till ours is done.

we realized it was probably a bad idea to move into the house while construction was still going on, considering we have two babies.

they're seven months, almost eight months now.

violet started crawling a few days ago... grayson being soon to follow.

ayla and luke just started crawling about two weeks ago so we've got lots of mobile babies.

i still can't believe that we're moving out of our apartment and into our dream house.

we're going on the first big exploring trip tonight since the babies were born.

my mom is in LA so she's watching violet, grayson and kai overnight, alongside josette and celine.

the original group is all going so it'll be sam, colby, corey, jake, tara, kat, devyn and i.

the boys had gone to a few places after the twins were born and kai was born because they needed to post but they've really just been filming when they really need content so we thought it'd be good to take the whole group out to stay at the stanley hotel tonight.

we had gone to a psychic earlier in the day before we left but it wasn't that entertaining.

we had dropped all of the kids off at the places they were staying at and we went to the airport to catch our flight for colorado.

i was so nervous about leaving violet and grayson overnight for the first time but i knew that my mom would take good care of them. alisa, my wedding planner, had applied for the part time nannying job i put out since i have to get back to working hard and making good videos and music.

i've kept my kids pretty private from the world just because i know how the internet works and people aren't always nice.

"i swear that was like the longest short flight ever." i laughed as we all exited the terminal. we made our way through the airport and sam called for an uber.

we talked to the uber driver about the stanley hotel on the way there which was interesting.

"we're all wearing all black." colby laughed, making the observation that, for the most part, everyone was wearing black even though the psychic told us to wear green or bright colors.

"i can already tell this'll be a great stay." i laughed.

jake made a little joke about how the ghost would see green and be like 'ah hes okay man'

we did a little ritual thing outside of the hotels to protect ourselves. and i of course made sure everyone had their rose quartz on them... it reminded me of lexi and i'd tradition to always have them at abandoned or haunted places.

we walked in and as sam started checking in, the rest of us were talking about the stairs and certain aspects of the lobby.

sam asked the guy if he had any experiences, which he did. he told us about some little things other people have seen here and there during their stays.

he said that he and a coworker were in the carriage house and took a burst photo and it had shadows show up in it

colby was filming jake and all of the boys were messing around.

and then jake fell down the stairs. how did i manage to get myself into this friend group?

we went down to the mirror at the end of the hallway and took the group picture in front of it

we went to find stephen kings room where he had the nightmares... room 217.

jake, being himself, took a sip of someone's left over room service drink that was in the hallway.

then we discovered a vortex of mirrors going up the stairs.

then we realized there were 14 mirrors creating vortexes.

we went outside to the hedges, which you'll know if you ever watched the movie.

then we went to the concert hall thing and decided to go back at night.

we talked to another worker who told his experience.

one of our rooms was called the spirited room.

we found a little set of stairs, that jake also fell down and then he ate an opened lollipop. we assumed it was one of lucy's lollipops.

we were in room 428 and then jake punched colby and colby punched jake. they're so dramatic and childish haha

our room smelt like old women, which the boys complained about.

"ew it smells like old women." colby complained.

"it smells so old in here." jake said.

"you guys are being so dramatic. it's not that bad." tara laughed.

"this whole room is so outdated and old and then boom, there's that." sam said, pointing out a little touch screen thing on the wall.

we decided to purposely make the room dirty to see if the made lady would clean it up and then corey got a call from a no caller id number and discovered that the last haunted hotel was the last time he received a call like then.

it went away and then the number called back. he answered this time and we heard nothing in the phone.

we realized none of us even had service so it was weird. then corey also got another call from a no caller id number so jake answered it. there was no answer or even static.

corey answered the phone at the biltmore the time we went and that's when the calls started up.

sam had got a spirit box for the trip that we decided to mess around with.

colby went into the bathroom to see if he could see two hand prints on the mirror.

"ew brother did you take a stink stink? jake?" colby asked.

"you guys always blame everything on me. it was corey." jake laughed.

"that was not me brother." corey laughed.

"it wasn't us. we haven't left each other's side." tara laughed, defended all of the girls.

it took the boys forever to set up the spirit box, which sent radio frequencies. but they eventually got it and we only had headphones so only the person using it could hear.

they were all freaking out when they heard stuff so i decided to take a shot.

"we heard tonight might not turn out too good, is that true?" corey asked.

"a storm is coming your way." we heard through the spirit box.

the two of us freaked out and told them others.

we decided to go to target to get a speaker and some lollipops for lucy.
