XUI POV

We reached the TurQua facility sooner than i expected. Trepidation and dread began to set in as we approached. I could only hope being Prince would sway the opinions of many and gain unwaveringly loyalty to my cause.

Standing against my father, the reigning sovereign wouldn't be easy for most. They knew of my fathers ruthless reputation. Many would fear his wrath. But i would reassure them of my protection ; My plan to take the throne from him and restore our people to what we once were.

The human guard situated outside the facility watched us with suspicion and worry. He had not been informed of our arrival. It was another worry of mines. They would report our presence to his human government, who would in turn report it to my father. We could not stay here long.

"State who you are and your purpose Outsiders" the male stated loudly

I stepped forward before anyone could speak further. We all knew my title would see us through unquestionably

"I am prince Xui Kulav of the Roqua. I demand  passage"

The human guards eyes widened. His gaze swept my form before he quickly stepped aside.

"Of course i apologize we did not recognize you Prince"

I grunted but did not respond as we walked on. Of course i was not recognized.  I  wore human clothing since my own had been soiled beyond repair long ago.

Royalty never wore such things as i currently did. the thought of what they must think made me almost laugh.

Entering the facility we were immediately met with Lokkar's father. He stared stunned to see us.

Then he bowed at me

"Your higness what a pleasnt surprise" he exclaimed glancing at Lokkar "Son" he said inclining his head in acknowledgment

I knew that he thought his son had done something to warrant a visit for the royal family.

Something bad. He always thought the worse of Lokkar. Granted he was a hot tempered male. But he was also fierce, strong and loyal to a fault.  All traits worthy of praise and recognition

I ignored the males  probing gaze and addressed him formally

"We have come to speak to you of something gravelly important"

The man stood straight, staring warily at Leena and Troy

"Of course right this way your highness"  he said directing us further into the facility

I could read apprehension in Leena's face but I held her hand in reassurance as we entered

"You arrive at an most opportune time your highness. We are preparing for a celebration" he declared with excitement

"Oh? A celebration for what?"

"We are having My brothers first daughters, birth celebration today"

Lokkar and  Slix glanced at me with worried eyes

"Well then we shall celebrate" i said with a fake smile plastered on my face

***********************************************************

Hours later we were seated around a long table with far more food than necessary covering the surface. Humans like Leena needed to hunt to eat sufficiently and here my people were eating more than they could consume. I could confidently assume all the unused food would be discarded, wasted.

Gritting my teeth i fought to recall my mission and ate sparingly. reluctantly. Leena's face as the platters of food were brought out and she timidly began to eat only confirmed my thoughts. I squeezed her hands as they sat on the table beside my own. Several eyes watched the subtly gesture.

Soft music played around us  and the conversation was kept light so far. I was expectantly and politely asked about my father and tribes welbeing

The "birth" day girl had yet to appear and honestly i was thankful. I had a sickening feeling she would no doubt cause problems for me and Leena.

Just then the music changed and the LoQuan female of the celebration walked in. Azi. She wore a risqué gown, showcasing her ample breasts. The gown was a bright shimmering gold and her extravagantly long dark locks were left to dangle down past her backside. Long ago i had regarded her as one of the most incredibly alluring females i had ever seen. But still not as alluring or desirable to me as Leena was. Still her attitude of entitlement and pushiness, among other things would always pale in comparison to my Leena.

She sauntered to the table and took her seat beside her father. Her eyes locked on me the entire time. I did not reciprocate in any manner. Even looking at her would encourage things i no longer felt, nor desired for her. I was here on business after all

Lokkar's father was overseer of this facility and i desperately needed his allegiance. His support

"So what brings you here unexpectedly my Prince?" Lokkar's father asked politely

Even though the celebration had featured a large amount of LoQuans,  the table where we dined only held those of importance . Royalty and the overseers main family. I was thankful for this as i told the man of my plans and intentions

He appeared  susceptible and aggregable until I introduced Leena as my woman. The table had grown quiet and the tension sparked to  uncomfortable heights

"What is it?" i growled

"Your highness we would gladly stand beside you in this endeavor, Many do not agree nor want what your father is offering. His gaze unsubtly shifting to Leena's direction, However your people may not rally when you have......decided  to bond with a...human"  he said lowering his head with respect

Lokkar and Slix growled furiously at his words

"I do not meant to disrespect. only to state the truth of the matter" He added humbly

Leena adverted her gaze from me as i looked toward her . It boiled my blood in rage.

"A LoQuan female would garner far more respect and support  my lord"  Azi commented watching me hungrily

i sneered in her direction. i knew her thoughts and desires. they were the same as always. she wanted to claim me for her own. In our youth on one of the many occasions where i missed Leena too deeply to cope i had succumbed to those  desires of hers.  but that was then and this was now. Leena was here and all mines. No one and nothing could make me turn from her.

"I already have a female and I will entertain no other . Whether you stand with me or not. LoQuan female, human female or not."  i spat decidedly

"Of course your highness. we understand".

I returned  to my barely eaten food, placing my hands lovingly along Leena's thigh. She smiled sweetly at me but i could see the strain and tension on her sweet face and it made trepidation creep in

We had just come together. I worried if their words had changed something and she now held doubt in her heart. Doubt that would once again tear us apart.....................

Do you thing Lokkar's father is right. Will being with Leena weaken Xui' s mission to rally his people and overthrow his father?
