When Monokuma announces a surprise is waiting in the chemistry lab the unsuspecting students find something that is not what you would call a good surprise.

Naegi's POV After hearing Monokuma's announcement I weighed my options. Killing myself would be less than ideal and killing Kirigiri was out of the question. Knowing the structure of this game I was sure that there was some sort of loophole. I gave Kiri a quick kiss on the forehead before I left the room, locking the door behind me. I ventured to the chemistry lab and found the bucket with the information about the poison. I carefully picked it up and flipped it on it's side so the bottom was visible. To my surprise a small note was attached to it! I quickly unfolded it and read- Hey twerp! You found this letter, good for you! I wrote this old thing way before the actual liquid was released so I haven't the slightest clue who's reading it now. Probably that detective chick. Any who, i've decided to help ya out! This toxin has multiple cures! #1- Killing the person intoxicated #2- Killing yourself out of misery and a whopping #3- If the person who's intoxicated can push past the blinding admiration or they find some way to communicate effectively with the person their in love with the poison should wear off! I think...Upupu. ƪ(‾ε‾")ʃ I stuffed the letter in my pocket and ran to see Kiri. I understood what I needed to do. As soon as I got inside my room I ripped out a page of an old notebook and fished a pencil out of my pocket. I looked Kirigiri straight in the eyes and said- "Kiri, can you understand me?" I handed her the pencil and paper and watched in awe as she started to shakily write something down. After a few minutes she dropped the items and stared at my blankly. I picked up the paper and and gasped-

"Makoto, i'm still here" She can understand me! I jumped out of my seat and wrapped my arms around her, forgetting all about the poison for a moment. After pulling away she tried to kiss me which I declined due to her intoxicated mind. I ran out of the room, Kirigiri stumbling behind me. I needed to tell the others about this discovery! I looked back at Kiri and smiled.
