Language, and a Deadpool cameo

It was an exhausting week for both the Avengers and the SHIELD agents. There was an endless stream of new villains just springing up at every corner, with no promises of ever stopping.

"Why can't we just catch a break here? I never thought so many people liked to be evil," Sam scoffed, catching the water bottle tossed at him by Sharon in mid-air.

"Evil is the new sexy, don't you know? These goddamned directors hiring people like Jared Leto to be the bad guys, and then chicks fawning over them more than the actual hero, makes every Tom, Dick and Harry think that they can get the girl by being a bad, bad boy, " Grant mocked, making the weary group burst out in chuckles.

"No, but for real, this is getting annoying now," Daisy agreed.

"Well, how about we stop moaning about our lives and be thankful that we can rest in peace for some time now? We just came back from another mission, guys. Let's relax," you said while stretching your limbs, trying to ease the muscular pain that was building up in your body due to lack of much-needed rest.

"Uh.. guys?" Maria entered, surveying the group warily, like she knew that she was likely to be murdered if she continued with her announcement.

"Babe, I love you, but if you tell me that we have to gear up for another mission, you would 'catch these hands' as Peter says," you groaned, giving a quick nod to Peter, who looked way too proud at your use of modern colloquialism.

Your girlfriend threw a remorseful look at the group and sighed sadly, "I'm so sorry. We leave in 5."

There was a collective groan from the group.

"Oh well, I really liked my five seconds of peace," Clint got up and slung his quiver round his back.

"Hey, Y/N, catch!" Maria tossed an apple your way.

"Thanks babe!" you took a bite of your apple.

"No fair! I want an apple too!" Wanda whined.

"She gets special privileges for being my girlfriend," Hill smirked.

"Well then, can I get the special privilege of not going on this mission too? I'm exhausted," you pouted.

"Even I don't have that privilege, hun, and I'm second-in-command," Maria snorted, pressing her lips to yours in a chaste kiss.

"Point noted," you stated defeatedly.

All of you boarded your assigned quinjets, taking your places and trying to get some shut-eye before going into yet another battle. Maria, on the other hand, was not so lucky. She had to assume the role of your quinjet's pilot and get you all to your destination. You went and sat in the co-pilot's seat, wanting to give your girlfriend company.

"Go back there and sleep, Y/N. I don't think you'll be getting this opportunity anytime later," Maria told you while checking the controls of the jet.

"Nah, I'd rather be here with you," you smiled softly.

"You're cute," Maria chuckled fondly, shaking her head, "Get comfy then, bub. It's gonna be a long ride."

Your adversary was nothing like you ever imagined, he was unbeatable. It was as if he predicted each of your move and effortlessly blocked them. Even after hours of trying to defeat him and his minions, you guys' weren't getting anywhere. The situation seemed bleak. People were starting to lose hope. There were more fallen soldiers on your side than on his, with the numbers increasing steadily, and now you guys were standing on the battlefield while your villain gave out his customary threats. "Accept your defeat, Avengers. You cannot get out of this one!" the guy gave out an evil laugh.
