Loneliness is something most people fear. It is feared because if you are alone, there are a great many more dangers, than if you weren't. When you're alone, you are the only prey available. There is no one else around you to hear your cries or screams. There is no one else to cry on, or to look to for comfort. There is only you. The mind can get lost in itself very easily, especially when isolated. People fear vulnerability, because when you are vulnerable, you're dead. Many times a person vulnerable, are when they are alone. Lonely people are often the subjects of pain and torture, or even something as simple as bullying. People fear being alone, because if you don't, you are the other side of the equation. You are the deliverer of these people's pain.
