Coward..

She looked back at Hayden. Her eyes were opened just a crack. Good.

It meant she was still alive, Phoenix stroked her cheek for a second. She admit that she used to like her.

But not now. Ivy had brainwashed her into loving her.

"What are you doing here?!" A voice shrieked. "Who the fuck see you?!"

Phoenix didn't flinch. "I'm a..friend.."

She turned to face her, her shades just bareky showing her eyes and face.

It was Mandy. Huh, she wouldn't guess that these two were friends.

Guess opposites do attract.

"Who are you?"

"Names Phoenix" She didn't bother using her fake name. "What's your occupation?"

"Friend.."

Mandy felt something off about this doll, like she wasn't a good guy, but she wasn't a bad guy either.

A laugh. "You could say that my lover caused this to her. Is William alive?"

"Yes, he's expected to wake up by noon tomorrow.."

Why had Mandy trusted her with that?

"Thanks for the info.."

Mandy shivered from the dead look inside her eyes. There was a pill bottle in her hands.

"I have alexithymia.." Phoenix states, but then saw Ox. "It's when you can't feel or understand emotions of yourself or other people.."

"Really?" Ox came over in curiosity, obviously not recognising her. "Never heard of it.."

Phoenix has her hood a little lower, she couldn't risk him seeing her. "It's rare.."

Seeing her made the guilt come back. Shit, not again.

It was the only emotion that seemed to break through the emptiness that she both loved and despised at the same time.

Why did the guilt still haunt her?

"Why is your hood up?" Ox found those silver eyes familiar. "Are upset or hurt?"

Apart from the scar that went across her right eye (like Scar's from the lion king), she had no injuries except for the guilt that seemed to not leave her alone.

"No.." She muttered, playing with her hood a bit. "I have a scar that makes everyone call me a freak. I'd rather not show it in public.."

Ox laughed like she was being silly. "It's called Uglyville for a reason. We won't judge you for a scar. Hell, I have a cross for an eye!"

She chuckled. "I suppose so.."

She slowly, but shakily removes her hood. She closes her eyes to avoid the stares.

They couldn't see all of it due to her shades, but they saw the edges that went up to near her hair.

There weren't any nasty words though, nothing like her lovers when they examined it. She didn't mind the insults, but they really hurt after a while.
