I swam in my ocean. lost at sea I could hear her call to me. salty waters blurred my vision as the waves covered me in confusion. These troubled waters had no intention to set me free. Should I give up this fight and surrender to the world beneath me, or be still in these waters and listen for her voice to lead me to dry land? As I am fading, I see the woman I've been waiting for. Is she real? or perhaps a figment of my imagination. shes covered in light, as pure as an angel sent from the heavens. I see the smile I've been longing to see. she lifts my head and wipes the tears from my swollen eyes. my voice betrays me I've so much to say, so much pain to explain. As if she already knows as all mothers do she removes the burdens from my shoulders and suddenly I am free. shes fading now, her duty is done. with pain in my chest, I let out a cry "But I am alone now". she cradles her second child in her arms like a baby and gently explains. You are never alone Nadine a mothers love is never broken.
