Hidden messages and secret smiles
Riding bikes up and down the isles
With every word I admired you more
But I hid those thoughts to my very core
In my brain you were a friend to me
But my heart wasn't blinded and it could see
That behind every sarcastic joke and meaningless goodbye
There was so much more then meets the eye
Every time I played it cool and pushed you away
In my heart I begged you to stay
You snuck your way into my guarded heart
I had never guessed these feelings would start
We were oh so different how could this be
You had always just been a friend to me
But we fit together perfectly
