Her eyes so innocent so pure so clean
In her mothers eyes her baby was a queen
The child so soft so sweet and so new
Her mothers love was the only thing she knew
Toddling around she would make a mess
Her mother so exhausted she just had to rest
At night her child asleep she would sit by her bed
Humming softly these are the words she said
Always know that my heart is yours
You are my child my love my only hope
She was now in school for the very first day
Be safe I love you her mother would say
When she came home tears brimmed her eyes
I made no friends I was to shy
Her mother took her into her arms and sung

Now she cares what others think
Sometimes she wishes she could just shrink
But her mother would love her until the end
To her mother her daughter is her best friend

She gets a call on a dark cold night
That fills her heart with so much fright
Alone with tears she drives back home
The house so dark sitting all alone
A single teardrips down her cheek
As she holds her mothers hand So week
Her mother's voice was soft and slow
But the words she spoke the child already knew
