every now and then i think of the person i was in the moments before we collided. blissfully ignorant to what lay ahead, hopeful for the beginning of a new chapter. i had no idea that the path i had chosen would cement your place in my destiny. i had already survived the edge of death, but nothing could have prepared me for the supernova that marked the crossing of our paths. it was an explosion so beautifully violent that it rendered me blind, and as i spun out of control in the vacuum of space, i reached for anything to steady myself — and my hand closed around you.
