Rey was careful to keep their children in the dark. Two children born of Palpatine and Skywalker decent would be dangerous in the wrong hands. She knew they were vulnerable and that is why she hid. No one knew where she was. The resistance tried to contact her many times but she stayed hidden. She needed to keep her children safe.

She sat in the living room of their home after Kai and Anni went to their workshop for the day. She was in the middle of the floor and she was trying to meditate. She felt something was wrong and she needed to contact someone.

"Be with me." She whispered, trying to get a hold of any of the ancestors. One of them would have the answers that Rey couldn't seem to find.

She knew the destiny of her children, but she needed to know how to prevent it.

There was no answer. No one was trying to connect. It felt like the force was pushing against her.

She was floating in the air when she felt a stabbing pain in her chest. She yelped as her body fell to the ground quickly. It was right in her heart. She reached up and grabbed her chest. It was painful, but it soon wore off.

Someone, something, was going wrong.

-

Kai had a habit of leaving Anni alone. She didn't mind, but it was often that he'd leave and come back with no real answer as to where he went.

It wasn't like he could be seeing someone, there was really no one else left on tatooine.

Anni was carefully working on her lightsaber. She noticed the color was a soft orange, one that was very rare to find. She attached a few wires before hearing a voice.

You're pretty good at this.

Anni turned around quickly, there was someone in the room. She shivered and quickly moved back against the table.

A man with grey robes stood in front of her. A beard and long hair, but he was transparent. A blue glow coming off of him. He was gentle, and his energy gave Anni some peace.

"You wonder who I am? I was the wandering trader." Luke said, "that was why I tried to hide my face."

Anni looked at him, "Are you Luke? Luke Skywalker. My mother talks about you often." She slowly got up.

"Of course she does." He joked, "Things aren't going as planned. Your brother left his crystal here for a reason and I need you to take it. I also need to give you back that necklace."

Anni stepped forwards. "Why?" She asked, a feeling of worry washed over her.

Suddenly, the necklace was around her neck. She reached up and felt the pendant. It was a grey stone with a metal wrap around it. She felt more worry in her as she could feel something was wrong.

"Finish that lightsaber, and quickly." Luke said, increasingly his energy was going away. Something was coming and Luke couldn't stay long.

Anni breathed out shakily as the man in front of her disappeared. She turned and looked at the lightsaber. She reached up and held the pendant against her chest. She felt a calming energy go over her again. She smiled to herself, she felt someone. Someone was there but couldn't speak. She felt the connection to that person.

She opened her eyes once more and worked quickly to complete her lightsaber. It was done. It was a mess of wiring and different metal pieces coming together but it looked just perfect in her eyes.

She stood up and turned around. She gently turned it on. It was perfect. The light was bright and the actual saber was perfectly round. She did well. Anni felt that.

Suddenly, she heard someone coming. She gently turned off her saber before turning and grabbing Kai's crystal off the table. She shoved it in her pocket before putting the saber on the belt she had fashioned.

It was Kai. He looked different. Felt different.

There was something in his hands, something that brought the two of them a feeling of pain, guilt, and anger.

A lightsaber. One that was also messily made. Has three openings so it would come out of the sides and the top. She knew in this moment it had to have been her father's at some point.

She felt a warmth from the necklace around her neck. She reached up to hold it. It wasn't hot... Just warm.

Her brother quickly pointed to the necklace.

"How the hell did you get that back?" His voice was dark, not like it had been before.

Anni stepped back. "And where did you find that?" She asked, referring to the lightsaber in his hand. "Kai, what's going on?"

"My master gave it to me." He said and started taking steps towards her. His towering build causing a shadow over his sister.

He lifted up the lightsaber and turned it on. The red glow showering him. His eyes were dark, different, and the bags under his eyes prominent. He wasn't who she had known her whole life.

"K-Kai..." She whimpered but she was cut off before she could say more.

"Give me that necklace!" He yelled before going to strike at her. He wasn't trying to kill, just trying to bring her fear.

He had missed and Anni got up quickly and grabbed hers off her belt. She turned it on, the orange covering her body. Giving her light. She struck back at him and they started fighting. The fighting quickly ended up outside where their mother most likely heard everything.

They were going fast. Their fighting and the energy coming off the two of them was strong. She could hear noises in the distance, as if the whole planet was moving with them.

She could hear their mother coming. She could hear the pain in her scream as she saw the lightsaber she believed was gone.

Anni was trying hard to fight him off. She was breathing heavy and the feeling of anger over his sudden change was trying to take over. She fought him off before suddenly he was winning. Her saber coming close to her neck.

Suddenly, both of them were frozen in place. Their lightsabers pushing against each other. Kai was over her, winning in that moment.

"Kai... Kai!" Rey screamed at them before letting them go. Anni fell to the ground and dropped her saber. She turned to see Kai still had his on, but he was looking at his mother.

"Where did you find this?!" She yelled and reached to grab it. Kai pulled his hand back but still didn't turn it off.

"I need that necklace." He growled. The dark side had washed over him.

"Who did this to you?" Rey asked, her breathing heavy and fast.

"Father." He said softly and looked at Anni. "He has a plan."

Anni knew this wasn't true. She held onto the necklace and winced. She realized she had a injury to her leg. She tried getting up and she did.

"I need that necklace." He turned and looked at Anni. "Either you give it to me, or you come with."

Anni watched her mother. She gripped the necklace in her hand and closed her eyes. The feeling of knowing came over her. Without thinking she lifted her hand up and pushed him back using the force. He went flying off.

Anni looked at her mother before using the force to grab her own saber. They nodded to each other before running back to the house. Rey grabbed a few of her things, including her own saber before bringing Anni to a ship off in the distance.

Kai groaned as he woke up. He sat up and saw his master standing in front of him.

"Your father is unhappy that you let your weak sister best you." The deep voice said, "and a girl at that." He growled.

Kai stood up quickly. "They're leaving. We need to find them. Get me on the ship." He said and breathed out shakily before starting to walk off with his master.

A/N:
I know things escalated really quickly but I've got so much planned that I really needed to speed this up. Especially if Ben is gonna come back ;))))

Hope you enjoyed.
