In media is a picture of Nicklaus. Song is Hey I Don't Know by the Kongos. Great song for this chapter because she has no idea what she's getting herself into.

Edinburgh, Scotland was not what I was expecting. The private jet landed in what I could only describe as an oversized backyard. I was helped off the plane to see two men and a woman watching me. I subconsciously straightened and gracefully walked towards them. The older man I presumed to be Signore Sinclair. The younger one was almost an exact replica of Signore. The only difference being that his hair was a black color instead of a peppered and he wore a permanent judgmental scowl.

"Welcome Princessa Amelia," the Signore said with a small smile. He had the wrong language, but I could see he was trying to make an effort. He took my hand and graced it with a kiss. "I am John Sinclair. This is my wife, Sarah, and my son David.

"Signore, Signora," I greeted them. I turned to face my future betrothed. "David," I said, void of any emotion.

"Princess," he practically sneered. His lack of disrespect for me and my language appalled me.

"Charmed, I'm sure," I said sarcastically. John coughed uncomfortably and moved aside.

"David, why don't you show the Princess Chela around?" John suggested. David walked inside without a word. I turned to the Signore.

"I so hope that this is not his normal attitude," I said to John. Sarah gave me a grim and disappointed look. She looked like a tired mother. I walked inside and saw David waiting for me. He looked annoyed and irritated. I followed behind him as he showed me around the castle. It was huge like my own, except for larger.

"This is your room," he said dismissively. I sighed and set my purse on the bed. The room was huge and simple. I studied David's face as his eyes glances away from me.

"Why do you despise me so, giovane?" I asked. He rolled his eyes.

"One, that is not my name, and two, I don't see why I have to like ya. This is all just another of my father's stunts after all," he said. He turned and left without another word. After watching the help unpack my things, I went to do some exploring of my own. I turned a corner and ran right into someone. I gasped in surprise as I felt myself falling. They caught me before I could fall to my butt.

"Oh mio Dio. I'm so sorry. I should watch where I go," I apologized profusely. I looked up to see the most captivating blue eyess. I froze as he set me back on my feet and took a step away from me.

"I'm Nicklaus," the man said. He looked a lot like the Signore, John, and giovane, David, only his hair was as golden like a wheat field. Nicklaus held his hand out to me. I blinked a few times before I placed my small hand in his much larger one. He kissed my hand gently before straightening again.

"You must be Principessa Amelia. Il piacere è mio," he said, greeting me. I raised my eyebrows in surprise.

"Your Italian is not bad. Nice to meet you too," I commented. He smiled at the compliment.

"I summer in Italy often. It's a beautiful country," he explained. "I'm sorry you have to deal with David. He can be a narrssicistic little bolke," Nicklaus said. I sighed defeatedly.

"He's an arrogant bastard," I said through clenched teeth. Nicklaus laughed heartily at my comment.

"That he is," he agreed. "I guess I'll be seeing you around Amelia," he said before he rounded he corner away from my view. I sighed happily. It was god to know that at least one person here could possibly be a friend.

Dinner was awkward with this family. John and Sarah sat next to each other and I sat next to David and Nicklaus, with John at the head of the table. I'd come to the conclusion that David was an angry uomo. We ate mostly in silence with soft classical music playing in the background.

"How is your father, Amelia?" The signore tried to make small talk. I lifted my eyes to meet his briefly.

"Stressed, signore. The man is too proud to show any emotion," I answered.

"There is a ball to celebrate your arrival and marriage to our eldest son, princessa. To be held in two days time. Sarah will fetch a dress for you. Do you have a color preference?" Signore asked. I shook my head politely.

"I thank you, Signore, but that will not be necessary. I will fare well with the dresses I already own. No need to waste money on me," I declined.

"The princess thinks she's too good for our money aye?" David sneered. I glared at him.

"No, Giovane, I just think the money could go to better use other than fabric when I have more than enough," I explained.

"Not according to your family's bankruptcy," he retorted. I stood abruptly and leaned on the table closer to him as I glared.

"My father worked hard to create his empire. We started from nothing to be the company we are today. It was not something that was already established and passed down like it's going to be for you. You insult my family and my father, do not expect me to roll over and take it. I do not fare well with spoiled children. When you're ready to apologize for being such an arrogant ass, I'll be in my room," I seethed before I walked away.

I walked quick and graceful to my room and sighed. I was so angry that I was shaking. I grunted and stomped my foot before collapsing on my bed. After a moment, there was a knock on my door. I got to my feet and pulled my hair out of its respective bun. My light brown hair fell in thick waves around my face and down my shoulders. I opened the door to see a steaming David. His face was so red that it probably could boil water. I kept my face void of any emotion and crossed my arms.

"Are you here to apologize?" I asked. He pushed me inside and closed the door behind him.

"I am not a patient man, Princess. And I didn't appreciate the way you embarrassed me in front of my family like that," he seethed. I backed up slowly but raised an eyebrow at him.

"Like your attempt to embarrass me?" I said back. Something in him snapped. I was suddenly pressed up against the wall with his hand around my throat. Fear was evident on my face as I tried to scream. I could no longer breath and black dots started swimming in my vision.

"I am an easily angered man, princess. It would be wise not to disrespect me. And I do expect you to roll over and take it," he said lowly in my ear before letting go all together. I collapsed to the floor, coughing as tears ran down my face. He turned and walked out without a backward glance, leaving my door wide open. My lip trembled as I finally broke. I sobbed and curled up in a ball. This was not how I pictured my first day here.
