Necromancer's familiar

You got top marks in all of your familiar training classes and were one of the best. As such, you expected to be summoned by someone legendary. Some witch or wizard whose power was astronomically high and together you'd rule the land. Instead, you're summoned by a bumbling necromancer whose spells only work maybe half of the time. He's clumsy and is always walking around with his head stuck in a book. He's completely hopeless and you should demand to be reassigned. But who knows what could happen to him without you around. And you guess he's pretty sweet for a necromancer. And maybe not so bad looking when he remembers to bathe. You supposed you could stick around.
