Hell brake loose

Gabe's pov

Her question actually threw me off guard. I wasn't expecting that at all so it rendered me speechless. It led me questioning my self.as to who I really am

I realized I was caught up in my thoughts again so I decided to speak.
"So" I sighed
"I don't really know what to say"
" I'm the kind of person a mother will tell her daughter never to associate with the kind of person you have to run from when you see" I paused to check her face for and reaction like fear but all I saw was curiosity so I decided to continue.

" I wasn't the best , no , never have and I don't think I ever will"

"The only person who believed in me and saw a potential,a ray of light and had faith in me  was my mother " I visibly sighed to prevent my self from opening old wounds because I can't cry in front of her I have to be strong.

"And I lost her"
The reason why I am so keen on following you to know and discover what happened is because of her I have to find her"

I remember the day it all happened like it was yesterday
"THE DAY"

I was  12 years at that time and it was a day after my birthday .
Mom couldn't through a party on that day so the party was supposed to be held the day after
I remember going to my mom to help her with the decorations but she sent me  back to get dressed a while later my friends started piling in and I was asked by my mom to stay in the room but when the time comes they will number to 3 and I will enter
They didn't want me to see the surprise and the decorations after all it is  a surprise.

The time came for me to come out so they started numbering 1 ,2 , the minute they were about to say 3 there was a small shake of the earth and everything went silent.

I thought it was part of the plan so decided to open the door and way .
There was no one there I started searching under the tables and chairs because I thought they were hiding
The place was dead silent so I began to Punic

I stepped out side and then I saw it everything was gone and replaced with trees .

Not knowing what to do and the realization of me not being able to stay in the house forever so after getting some stuffs I headed out and wandered .
Looked for shelter and food.

Present

When I was done my eye was glassy with tears

Jeccy was staring at me with an emotion I can't decipher.
