The ninja were preparing for Christmas, which would be arriving in 5 days. They all had their girlfriends with them. Except for Zane. He didn't have a girlfriend, like Pixal didn't have a boyfriend. They didn't mind this and celebrated normally with the rest of them but their hearts aches to eventually be together one day. The problem was, they were too scared to say anything. And Pixal forbade Nya from saying her feelings to any of the boys. And Zane made the others promise not to utter a word to anyone.
Kai went round to Skylor's the other day and invited her to stay over with them until New Year's Day. She accepted and she was now staying with the ninja until New Years.
Lloyd used Asphera's staff to send a letter to Akita inviting her to Ninjago until the New Years and within a day she was there with the others.
Cole flew to Selial's village and asked her if she wanted to come with. She accepted and she was soon there aswell.
Now they were all in the room that was going to be the tree room and were decorating it with lots of stuff.
"Do we need anymore lights?" Jay asked
"We need to decorate the other rooms too Jay." Nya said
"But this one is the most important! I'll go get more lights." Jay said walking back out the room
"Hey Zane! You nearly don't with those hot chocolates?" Cole shouted to the kitchen
"Almost." Zane shouted back
"Hey Selial. Have you seen the ducky bauble? I can't find it anywhere." Nya asked
"I think Kai took it."
"I didn't touch it!"
"Found it." Pixal said
"Whew. Got worried there." Nya said
"The duckie one is my favourite!" Jay said
The others all agreed. The duckie bauble was really simple and stupid meaning that everyone loved it.
"Okay Chocolates are done." Zane said coming though to the tree room.
"Oo! Gimme!" Cole said scrambling to his feet.
"Drink it slowly Cole! It's hot." Zane warned
"Remember last year?" Kai said
"Please don't remind me!" Cole said
"What happened last year?" Skylor asked
"Cole took the hot chocolate as soon as it was done then he drank it really fast. As soon as he did he dropped it because it was too hot, then it went all down him and as he was jumping around in pain he fell into the Christmas tree!!" Jay said
"JAY!" Cole said angrily
"She asked!" Jay said
"And you answered!!" Cole shouted.
As the two were arguing, Zane handed out the hot chocolates to everyone else. He approached Pixal, who was hanging tinsel around the room, to give her, her hot chocolate.
"Thank you Zane." She said sweetly, taking her drink
"You're welcome...Pixal." He blushed. They exchanged smiles, then got back to work.
"Wow. This room is amazing!" Misako said walking in.
"Thanks mom!" Lloyd said
"But will we have enough decorations for the rest of the bounty?" Wu asked
"Of course we will! And besides, we can always go and get more." Jay said
"But we could do with more lights." Nya said
"We've got enough tot fo around every room in the monastery!" Pixal said
"They don't always work." Nya said
"Well we were going to go back out anyway." Misako said.
"Do we need anymore Christmas food?" Wu asked
"We should be fine." Zane said
"Okay. We'll be back in around an hour." Misako said
"Bye!" Jay said
As they were walking away a wolf came running through the corridor with a string on lights trailing behind her.
"Uhh..." Misako said
"Sorry master Wu and Misako. Jay wanted me to get more lights." She said
"It's alright Akita." Wu said. The wolf smiled and ran through to the tree room.
"That's Akita?" Misako asked
"Lloyd didn't mention that she was a formling?"
"He may have. I can't really remember."
~~~~back with the ninja~~~~
"Okay Jay, I think there is no more room for lights." Cole said
"What do you mean?!"
"Jay. The tree has plenty lights and now we should focus on the rest of the room." Zane said
"Hey Skylor. Want to help me with the mistletoe?" Kai said
"Smooth Romeo." Jay Said
"What's mistletoe?" Pixal asked. Zane slightly blushed and Nya, Akita and Skylor just started giggling. "Seriously. What is mistletoe?" She asked again.
"When you are under mistletoe with someone who you love then you kiss them." Kai said finally.
"Ah. I see." Pixal said blushing aswell.
When the ninja had finally finished the tree room, it was so bright you needed sunglasses to see anything.
"You know. I think we went a bit overboard with the lights jay admitted, and the others laughed.
"It's getting pretty late. Maybe we should do the rest of the rooms and the bounty in the morning?" Akita suggested.
"Good idea. This whole thing has really worn me out." Lloyd said.
And the ninja went to bed. Not much more to say about that.
