Steel drove away with Ryder and Copper stayed at the lookout. I talked to the pups. "I could go and try to distract him," Everest said. "No, Everest! I can't let you do it!" Rocky said, nuzzling her. "I think those two are together." Skye whispered to me. Before I could agree, the door to the monitor was torn open. "Aha!" Copper had found us! No! He kidnapped Ryder! I jumped at him and clawed his throat. He fell back and died at my paws. Three down (Chrissy, Kyle, and Copper) and two to go (Steel and Ricardo). I assumed that Ricardo was the owner of Kyle and Chrissy. I looked at the bay and thought I saw land. "Pups, we're going to Mexico!"...
