"Who are you to give us your blessings?" Taehyung scoffed as he approached Seokjin, raising his fist up in the air. "I haven't even returned your punch."

But instead of reacting, Seokjin squeezed his eyes shut and nodded firmly. "Go ahead, I deserve it too."

Taehyung stared at Seokjin for a few whole seconds, his fist still balled up and hovering in the air above him. But eventually, he put it down and took a few steps step back from Seokjin. "It's okay, I'm not going to."

Seokjin's opened one eye at a time, raising hid eyebrows in surprise when he saw Taehyung standing a distance away from him, with his back facing him

Seokjin's opened one eye at a time, raising hid eyebrows in surprise when he saw Taehyung standing a distance away from him, with his back facing him. "Why?"

"I'm not like my father, and neither do I intend to become like him," Taehyung said softly, before turning to look at Seokjin. He took a deep breath, then took a step towards Seokjin once more. "And I will not make the same mistake he did with my mom as well - to regret not spending enough time with her when she passed away. I have already wasted so much time, I cannot keep going on like this."

"Though I'm still not able to completely see what Jisoo sees in you..." Seokjin pursed his lips as he put a hand on Taehyung's shoulder. "I know by now that you're the only one for her. Please don't ever let her down the way I did... I hid way too many things from her, and believed that whatever I did behind her back was all for her sake, when in actual fact, it was all for my own selfish desires. Please, treat her well."

"I will-" Taehyung patted Seokjin on the shoulder as well. "I don't need a second reminder."

"Alright then," Seokjin said with a sad smile. "Go chase her back now, before it's too late."

Jisoo ran and ran

Jisoo ran and ran.

But even she herself had no idea why she was running. She should be happy, shouldn't she? For all these past five years, she had been agonising herself over Taehyung, having countless nightmares of him, and imagining how different the various situations in her daily life would have been if he was still by her side. But finally seeing him after so many years, why did her heart hurt the way it did...?

"Jisoo-unnie!" Jennie gasped as she approached Jisoo, immediately reaching out to wipe the tears from Jisoo's face with her thumbs. "Ya! Why are you crying? What's wrong?"

Jisoo had made it to the carpark without her even realising it - her mind was in such a mess. As Jennie wrapped her arms around her, Jisoo fell to the ground, sobbing uncontrollably. Jimin and Lisa stood by one side, exchanging confused glances.

"Jennie-ya-" Jisoo clutched her chest, with tears streaming down her face uncontrollably. "My heart hurts, my heart hurts so much..."

"Why? You finally saw him, you should be happy, shouldn't you?" Jennie voiced out the precise question Jisoo had in her head. "But maybe... maybe you're just too shocked right now... maybe he's changed... maybe-"

"Jisoo-ya!"

Everyone looked up and there Taehyung was, standing a few metres away from them, his face filled with worry

Everyone looked up and there Taehyung was, standing a few metres away from them, his face filled with worry. He ran towards them at once, grabbing hold of Jisoo before she could stand up and leave. Jennie quickly moved away and joined her husband, who put a comforting arm around her shoulder.

"Jisoo-ya," Taehyung said as he grabbed hold of Jisoo's hand. "Jisoo-ya, look at me."

"I don't want to-" Jisoo choked out as she looked away and wiped her tears with her forearm. "We have nothing to talk about."

"It's getting late, let me take you home."

"We barely did anything," Jisoo said coldly, still refusing to meet Taehyung's eyes. "I'm going back to finish up the mural. You can go home on your own."

"I came here for work too," Taehyung reasoned, staring straight at Jisoo's side profile. "But I'm letting go of it for your sake. Can't you do the same for me?"

"For my sake?" Jisoo scoffed, as she finally turned to glare at Taehyung with an unforgettable look in her eyes. "So what you did all these years, that was for my sake too, huh?"

"Jisoo-ya-"

"Knowing how much I liked you and yet still leaving me behind, do you know how much pain I went through because of you?" Jisoo flung Taehyung's hand aside and shoved him hard in the chest, causing him to take a few steps back to regain his footing

"Knowing how much I liked you and yet still leaving me behind, do you know how much pain I went through because of you?" Jisoo flung Taehyung's hand aside and shoved him hard in the chest, causing him to take a few steps back to regain his footing. "Kim Taehyung- keeping me in the dark all these years, not even letting me know where the hell you were or whether you were dead or alive, was that fun for you?! You know how I-"

"My dad went to jail!" Taehyung yelled as hot tears rolled down his cheeks. "All these years, do you think it has been easy for me?! My dad went to jail, Jisoo-ya... I was left all alone..."

Jisoo froze.
