"You told me before that whenever I did something, I never put your opinion first... and I realised that you were right." Jisoo's dad cried. "I only ever thought of how I could make you live a good life, but I never thought about your feelings. That day when you came to me crying that you didn't want to get married to Seokjin-ie, I was conflicted. Your mom and I talked a lot about it, and decided that we were going to make your happiness our priority this time. We didn't want to be such horrid parents anymore."
"But... but you should have told me!" Jisoo sobbed. "I hated you like poison for the past five years, and every time we ate a meal with Seokjin-oppa, I'd say such horrible things to you..."

Jisoo let out a wail and began sobbing uncontrollably. She dropped to the floor, next to her father, and wrapped her arms around him. "I'm sorry, dad... I'm really sorry..."
"No, Jisoo-ya..." Jisoo's dad shook his head as he hugged her back. "It's our fault too... we admit that we haven't been the best parents, but we're trying..."
"Jisoo-ya... our daughter..." Jisoo's mom crouched to the floor and put her arms around her family members, also sobbing hard. "We love you so much... and we're sorry..."

And just like that, Jisoo found out the truth and reconciled with her parents after more than twenty years of animosity. It was weird, that an incident like that could bring a family together, but after crying together with those two adults she lived with for more than twenty years, Jisoo suddenly felt a strong connection to them... and it felt like she had suddenly gained parents overnight.
"Jisoo-ya!" Her mom shouted from downstairs a few days later. "The owners of the house before us are arriving in about ten minutes to check in on us, so I'll need you to come down in a bit."
Jisoo smiled a little. "Alright!"
Jisoo sighed as she whipped out her phone, continuing to text Jennie whom she had been texting with all this while.
