"Wait-" Taehyung sounded angry. "You did a background search on me?"
"I did," Seokjin said matter-of-factly. "You were hanging around my fiancée way too often - did you expect me to just sit back and relax? I have the money, so I have every right to do that. And based on my findings, you're struggling to even afford basic necessities. How are you going to make her happy, may I ask, Kim Taehyung-ssi?"
"As long as we love each other, we can be happy." Taehyung sounded less and less sure of himself in the recording as time passed. "As long as we have each other, we'll be able to make it by."
"Oh, Kim Taehyung... my dear Kim Taehyung." Seokjin chuckled condescendingly as he pat Taehyung on the shoulder. "How naive you are to think that love will be able to get you through life. Is life such a happy little fairytale to you? Well, let me tell you one thing, and you might just change your mind."
"What is it?"

"Jisoo's dad's business is about to flop right now," Seokjin said softly. "And let's say you're right - let's just say Jisoo is what connects her dad's company to my dad's. My dad is the only one who can save her dad's company right now. If she straight up rejects me, do you think my dad will still go through with helping out her dad? When we are taking a huge risk to help him out? No logical person would do that, am I right? Unless it's our in-laws we're talking about."
"Seokjin-ssi, I don't know what you're trying to get at-"
"I want you to leave Jisoo's side."
There was a long pause.
"Even if I disappear..." Taehyung said softly. "Do you really think Jisoo will marry you?"
There was not an inch of doubt in Seokjin's tone as he next spoke. "She will."
