"What should I do, oppa?" Jisoo broke down as she fell to the ground, at a loss of what to do. "Why am I like that? Everyone has moved on, why can't I?"

Seokjin watched Jisoo closely for a while, before he crouched down next to her and pulled her into his arms, allowing her to cry her heart out.

"I didn't get any closure..." Jisoo bawled. "He didn't even say goodbye..."

Seokjin pursed his lips. "Maybe it's precisely because he wanted you to move on, which is why he didn't say goodbye."

Jisoo shook her head wildly. "No, oppa. That's cruel. Kim Taehyung... he's a cruel person."

Seokjin bit his lower lip, his eyes wavering. "But still... you love him, don't you?"

Jisoo nodded slowly.

"It's been five years, and you still haven't forgotten about him..." Seokjin pulled Jisoo away from him, cupping her face with his hands as he looked into her eyes. "Can't you see me, Jisoo-ya? I... I've been here all this while."

Jisoo lips trembled as she pulled away. "I see you, oppa. And I am grateful for you... but gratefulness cannot translate into feelings."

"All this while, I've stayed by your side, Jisoo-ya

"All this while, I've stayed by your side, Jisoo-ya." Seokjin raised his volume, getting a little worked up. "Even when our dads fell out... I still stayed by your side. Can't you see my heart? Can't you give me a chance? I promise that I'll treat you a million times better than he can."

Jisoo swallowed hard as she shook her head. "I've only ever loved one person, oppa... and that person is him. Other than him, I cannot see anyone else."

"It has been five years, Kim Jisoo!" Seokjin exclaimed, as angry tears fell from his eyes. "Five whole years! Don't you think it's enough?"

Jisoo sobbed even harder. "Oppa..."

"Are you gonna wait forever for him, Jisoo-ya?!" Seokjin yelled as he got to his feet. "He didn't come back for five years, and you waited for him for five years... If he doesn't come back forever... are you gonna wait for him for an eternity?!"

Jisoo nodded. "I am."

Seokjin breathed heavily as he stared at Jisoo. Then slowly he dropped to his knees, holding Jisoo by her shoulders once more. "Okay, I give up, Kim Jisoo, this is enough. I'm sick and tired of all this."

Jisoo looked up at Seokjin. "What do you mean?"

 "What do you mean?"

"I..." Seokjin bit his lower lip nervously, as a single tear rolled down his cheek. "Seeing the way you are today... I give up. I surrender, I've finally seen that no matter what I do, I'll never be able to take his place in your heart. I... I'm sick and tired of keeping up all these lies I've been telling you."

"Lies...?" Jisoo stopped crying at once, her voice filled with curiosity. "Oppa, what lies have you been telling me?"

Seokjin pursed his lips, looking like he was already regretting saying what he did.

"Tell me!" Jisoo yelled, getting more and more worked up by every second that Seokjin remained silent. "Is this related to Kim Taehyung?!"

Seokjin nodded silently.

"What is it?" Jisoo's eyes were wide open, as she shook Seokjin by his shoulders desperately. "Tell me, Kim Seokjin, tell me!"

"Kim Taehyung..." Seokjin let out a small whimper. "I met him once... a few days before he disappeared."

Jisoo's eyes lost their focus.
