"Well, I don't."

"Ah, whatever." Jennie shook her head in defeat. "Let's stop talking about him, it's making my insides boil."

Jisoo laughed. "Okay."

The car went silent for a while.

"You're lucky."

"Huh?" Jennie turned to look at Jisoo, who suddenly didn't look as happy as she did just two minutes ago. "What did you say?"

"I said, you're lucky." Jisoo smiled, but even her smile looked sad. "We met each other around the same time Jimin and you met. Y'all are lucky to still have each other."

Jennie pursed her lips for a long while, not answering Jisoo immediately. But eventully, she pulled up at the side of the road and turned to look at Jisoo with an empathetic expression.

"You have us too, unnie, please don't forget that-" Jennie assured Jisoo, as she held her friend's hands in hers. "Just because you don't have him anymore... it doesn't mean you're alone. You have us, and one day you'll have someone else."

"But I don't want anyone else."

"I know

"I know." Jennie bit her lower lip, internally chiding herself for blurting that out by accident. "You may have him back someday, for all we know. Regardless of what happens in the future, in this very moment, you have the both of us, and so many other people around you who love and care for you. You have nothing to worry about, unnie."

Jisoo stared blankly through the car windscreen. "Where do you think he is now and what do you think he's doing?"

Jennie was slightly stumped. "Well... wherever he is, he's probably thinking of you and trying to make his way back to you."

"You think so?" Jisoo laughed softly. "I think he's probably teaching Architecture somewhere, perhaps, or Math. He really likes Math."

"Mmhmm," Jennie hummed with a smile. "And so do you. That's what kinda brought the two of you together after all."

"Yeah."

The sun was setting in the background.

"Jimin-ie really has no idea where he is all these years, does he?" Jisoo asked for the 526th time in the past five years

"Jimin-ie really has no idea where he is all these years, does he?" Jisoo asked for the 526th time in the past five years. "They're best friends after all, maybe he might-"

"Nope-" Jennie shook her head in despair. "Unfortunately not. I've asked him a billion times, so he would have admitted the truth to me by now. But really, it seems like he has no idea as well."

Jisoo couldn't hide her disappointment. "Ah, I see."

"Shall we go now?" Jennie glanced at her watch. "It's getting a bit late. We should go."

Jisoo nodded in agreement, evidently slightly a little chirpier after talking everything out. "Yeah, we should."

Jennie released the hand break and sped off. After a while, she began ranting once more.

"See? This is part of the reason why he's annoying." Jennie rolled her eyes again. "Who just let's their best friend vanish like that and not even know where they went and what they're doing? What a horrible friend. Listen, Jisoo-unnie - I'll never do that to you."

Jisoo chuckled softly. "Me neither."

"Right?" Jennie shook her head disapprovingly. "Goodness, he's so annoying."
