Now, you may not be the prettiest girl in Virginia but John boy Walton sure thought so. Not that you knew or anything. I mean he hadn't even had a chance to say hello to you yet. When you moved in with your single mother, he just couldn't keep his eyes off you. You weren't so slick either, he caught you look'in a hand full of times 'for he said anything to you. When he finally did it was in your uncle Ike's trade and store. See, you had lived in Charlotte's Ville up until your father died. So you and your mother moved in with her brother- in-law Ike who lived on Walton's mountain.

" Hi," you jumped. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you." "Oh no its quite alright," you insisted while turning around. "My names John Boy," a fine-looking young boy said. "oh, My names Mary Lin!"
