Chapter 7 - After University
When they were 22 -
“Are you serious?” Dani asked Luis, Andrea’s older brother.
“Yes.”
“Oh my god,” she muttered and he laughed.
“I’ve already told you that I think you’re capable but I wanted you to get your degree before hiring you. So do you accept the job?” Luis asked her.
She nodded, smiling. “Yes.”
“Good. I haven’t told Andrea in case you wanted to turn it down. But remember that the office is in Miami, so you have to be in Miami,” he explained.
“I- yeah. It’ll be okay,” she said, nodding.
“Good. Now let’s break the news to Andrea.”
Dani gave a smile small but otherwise said nothing. She wasn’t sure about moving to Miami. It was in another country. And she didn’t know anybody in Miami. That’s not true. You know that Christopher is there.
Ignoring her thoughts, she thought about how it would be like in Miami. She would have a job and she would probably be living with her best friend. It sounded amazing.

“Are you serious?” Andrea asked, her eyes wide. She turned to look at Dani, who was nodding her head with a smile on her face.
“You’re also going to be moving to Miami?” she asked again and Dani nodded again.
“Yes. We’ll also be working in the same company,” Dani told Andrea, who immediately squealed.
“We’re going to be in Miami together!” Andrea exclaimed, getting excited. Dani nodded with a smile on her face.
“I can’t wait! Why didn’t you tell me?” she asked her brother, turning to look at him.
‘I didn’t want you to be disappointed if she said no.”
Nodding, she turned to look at her best friend. “We can start packing. When do you want to leave?”
“We can, but we can’t move so soon, we need to clear a few things but we can leave once we’re done,” Dani told Andrea with a smile, causing Andrea to pull her into a hug.
Once Andrea had calmed down, the two of them immediately got serious and started to work on the things they needed to do like searching for an apartment in Miami and telling Dani’s family about their plans.
We're going to Miami
This chapter is pretty short but it's the chapter that officially starts the book. The past 6 chapters were mostly about Dani, what she had gone through but now, we're getting serious ;)
