almost one month later
zach hasn't messaged or facetimed like he promised
he doesn't answer my calls or messages
he doesn't even read them
i started to wonder what was going on, in fact i didn't come out of my room for three days in the first week
zach is due to come home tomorrow and if i'm honest i'm not sure if i'm ready to see him again
how can he just ignore his girlfriend for almost a month?
even after what he said to me before he left
flashback
we walked towards the airport together, he got his tickets and checked in his luggage, all we had to do was wait for his flight to be called out
i stayed wrapped in his arms not wanting to let go
"jas?" he said and i sat up and looked at him "i think your amazing, your everything i've ever wanted and honestly i can't see myself spending my life with anyone else but you"
i looked into his eyes and smiled before gently pressing my lips against his
"one month and i'll be here with you again, but remember our promise i'll facetime and message everyday" he said
i believed him
"i love you" he then said barely audible
"i love you too" i replied
end of flashback
i start to wonder whether he meant it
if he really loves me then why would he ignore me for a month, why would he break his promise and why would he lie about keeping the promise?
