Freddy's POV

We hear the bell ring, and look at each other.  Knowing Phoenix, she turned human for whichever guards were there.  And she should be back soon.  That is, unless they knocked her out and are dragging her away from us.

The door creaks open, and Phoenix slips inside the room, her breathing clear and unsteady.  After shutting the door, she slides down it and sits on the floor, curled over.

Golden goes over to her, and she looks up.

"Phoenix, are you okay?" he asks.  The answer is sort of obvious, but Phoenix smiles anyway.

"Really?  That question? ...I'm okay, for now.  But after what Vince said, I think he may be right..." she explains.  I look over to her.

"What did he say?"

"That I need immediate medical attention.  I'm starving, have broken bones, infected cuts, and can barely stand on my own without it feeling like someone's digging springlocks into my skin.  He's completely right, but I'm not willing to leave you guys unless you're actually okay with it," she mutters, looking at us.  We look at each other and nod.

"You should probably get treated.  I agree with yer cousin too.  I'm pretty sure we all do.  You're the only one that actually needs to eat or be healed correctly out of all 6 of us," Foxy says.  From the look that Phoenix gives him, I swear that she's likely to do a hug attack, but she just nods.

"Fine.  I'll get looked at after you're all healed enough to go into your human forms without bleeding immediately."

Knowing that we won't get another answer from her, we all nod.  She'll be safe...

Unknown POV

I walk out from my post to take a quick smoke break when something catches my eye.  Someone heavily leaning on the wall of the entrance, clearly struggling to keep themselves up.  Instincts taking over, I rush to them.

They seem startled, but don't back away from me.  In fact, they seem relieved that I'm next to them.  They give me a small smile, their eyes bright with fever and pain.  I put my hand out for them to grab, and they do, suddenly leaning on me to support themselves.  I nearly stumble at the sudden weight, but manage to support the both of us.

I get through the doors with this person, and immediately call for help.

"Hey, I need some assistance!" I shout.  Two nurses run over to me, and I can tell that they're surprised at the fact that I'm supporting an injured human.  We quickly manage to get them to a room, trauma unit, and they look at me.

"Th-thanks..."

I walk back to the room, and am surprised that the person is awake, and sitting up.  They seem to be reading the news paper from a few months ago.  Smiling, I knock on the door frame before fully stepping into the room.

"Hi there!  I'm glad to see that you're awake and doing something productive!  I'm Logan, by the way," I say, introducing myself.  They look over to me and smile back, but I can tell it's partially forced.

"Nice to meet you, Logan.  Thanks for the help.  My name is- uh, my name is Sylvia.  Also, I'm a girl and identify as such.  I know you were curious but didn't want to ask," she stated.  I stare at her.

"How-"

"I can read minds.  But I thank you for being considerate.  Not many are, especially about something like that."
