"Is Dean angry with Cas when he finds out?", Castiel asked, as they sat in their lawn chairs together, letting the sun heat up their tired aching joints.
Dean shrugged, unsure what to say to that.
"Well, a little. Mostly just hurt, that he wasn't told sooner."
Cas nodded, his dull blue eyes, actually shining a bit in the sunlight.
Around them, it was peaceful.
Not a sound to be heard.
Just the quiet of the river nearby, as the water slowly rippled over the rocks.
To Castiel, it was the most beautiful day of his life, since coming to stay at this miserable place.
But even so, something was missing.
Something important.
He sighed, as he turned to look at his friend, also laying back against the chair.
"Will they be okay?"
Dean thought for a moment.
He smiled.
"Probably, but right now they must deal with the issues at hand."
Castiel waited then, for Dean to continue reading from the leather bound book.
"Read me some more.", he said after a few minutes had passed.
Dean smiled at that, opening the book once more and beginning to read, again.
"Okay so, Cas is now at university with Sarah, and meanwhile back home, Dean is still working hard everyday, hoping that maybe if he makes enough he'll be able to get him and Cas a place where they can live together. Cas' mother is still not okay with her son dating a Winchester, but she has learned to accept facts. Nobody knows yet about Castiel's engagement to Sarah, not till he writes them and tells them so. Then, the whole Novak family household goes into a frenzy because, 'Cassie least likely to get hitched' as Gabriel so well puts it, is going to get married. And so, everyone has completely forgotten about his fling with Dean, in order to make way for a wedding..."
