The couple delved into the sweet kiss as Arthur made the first movement by placing his hands on Lilian's waist to which she followed with her hands slithering to his hair. Lilian tugged gently at Arthur's rough locks as he pushed into the kiss, his hands beginning to cradle her back as he placed her into the grass with him above her. Both they're minds were at complete ease, as they fell into a bliss in each other's touch.

Arthur pulled away, which planned to just be for for a moment, viewing the girl below him. He wanted her, he wanted her to be his in those moments, never wanting anyone else to have this moment with her in the future. Their eyes sunk into each other's as they focused on each others features; Lilian couldn't help but notice the softness in Arthur's eyes. Arthur remained in awe even when Lilian spoke to him. "Arthur?"

"Huh? Oh um..." Arthur sat back up onto this knees, his cheeks red and his palms sweaty. "Are ya..Are ya ready for bed?" He had an awkward smile as he looked to the ground, anywhere but Lilian's face.

"Y-Yes I think it would be best." Lilian stayed where she was for a second, gathering her thoughts as to what to think of Arthur at this point. She soon felt a soft cushioning to her side as Arthur chucked her a sleeping roll. He begun to set himself up at the other side of the fire with his sleeping roll before being interrupted by Lillian, beginning to take off his jacket. "You can have this-"

"No keep it on." Arthur interrupts back. "You'll get colder than me probably." Lilian nodded shyly, still the both of them had flustered faces causing Arthur to face opposite to her.

Both laid awake as long as their anxietys could keep them before they passed out eventually, not knowing how to face each other in the morning even though they would relive the moment they had a hundred times again if it wasn't complicated.

Lilian awoke to the clear morning before Arthur. Her eyes first saw the sun glistening against the rain droplet covered grass and looked around aimlessly before her mind wandered to her moments with Arthur last night, beginning to flutter from embarrassment. She heard rustling from behind her to which her body to turned to see Arthur on the other side of the burnt out fire, just watching her. "Oh morning. I wasn't sure if you were awake." Arthur looked away quickly as he knew he had been staring.

"Oh yeah." Lilian sat up, rubbing her eyes softly, still sleepy from the rough sleep as the grass wasn't very comfy. Arthur watched her intently, not knowing with this sudden rush of feelings every time he looked at her. Everything she did was art in his eyes.  "I'm glad the weather is better."

"Oh yeah. We will head in a sec, you hungry?" Lilian shook her head at Arthur's question as she wobbled out of the sleeping roll, stretching her arms and back as she had a little walk to get rid of the numb feeling in her feet from sleeping on such an awkward position. They both stayed silent as they packed away, both knowing they were avoiding the talk about their kiss. Whilst Arthur was helping Lilian up onto Solitaire before they left, Lilian finally spoke up. "Are you just going to avoid the topic?" She smirked a little but it morphed to her biting her lip as Arthur looked at her with a scowl.

"We'll talk about it later. We need to get back to camp or else they'll go out looking for us." Lilian huffed at Arthur's reply but he cocked is eyebrow. "No attitude or whining as well, I'm not in the mood." He grunted as he climbed up on the back of Solitaire, reaching to let him take a bite from his apple before heading off back to the dingy town of Valentine. Lilian sulked most of the way, her mind confused to why Arthur was so passive at the moment.

Lilian spoke up again when they were close to camp, but Arthur further refused to speak about it, which angered her more. When they had finally reached camp, they were both greeted by Dutch who stood with his back slouched against a tree with a typical cigar between his fingers. "Ah Arthur , Miss Jackleson, I wondered where you both got off too. The job shouldn't of took that long." Dutch was curious on what the both of them had got up to whilst away, dreading anything on the intimate side.

"Yeah sorry about that, Dutch." Arthur climbed from Solitaire, passing the sacks of items to him that he ordered from the gun shop in Rhodes. "We got caught up in the weather so we set up camp for the night outside Rhodes."

"Uh huh." Dutch looked up to Lilian who began to climb down from Solitaire, avoiding Arthur's help. "And how was it for you, Miss Jackleson?"

"Fine, boring but fine. I would prefer to stay in camp next time." Arthur rolled his eyes at Lilian's stubbornness, beginning to un-tack Solitaire; seeing Dutch from the corner of his eyes watch Lilian as she strutted past towards her tent.

"Anything happen on that trip that you aren't telling me?" Dutch was inquisitive as he walked towards Arthur.

"No Dutch, she's just stubborn." Arthur avoided eye contact. "Just leave it."

Dutch held his hands up in defence, a sly smile peeping through the cigar on his lips. "Okay, my boy. Just remember our talk the other day, don't go starting anything or putting ideas into the girls head, let alone yours." He warned as he turned on his heal away from Arthur.

Arthur was given duty to watch camp in evening which gave Lilian another opportunity to go and speak to him and finally have some reassurance on what he was thinking. When Lilian had finished helping out with jobs in camp and had her share of repulsive stew, she decided to take a bowl to Arthur. "Miss Grimshaw, has Arthur eaten yet?" Lilian asked curiously as both of them and Tilly sat around the campfire. Miss Grimshaw looked up from her bowl and smirked for a second, cause Lilian to look at her with confusion. "What?"

"Nothing. No he hasn't had anything to eat yet. Would you like me to say you can take him a bowl?" Miss Grimshaw jokes, causing Tilly to giggle as she eats. Lilian rolls her eyes before getting up, Miss Grimshaw and Tilly exchange playful smiles as they see her making her way to the pot of stew.

Lilian made her way over to where Arthur had planted himself. He sat lost in a world of his own, if anyone was to attack the camp he wouldn't be of much help with how late of a response he would give. He could hear soft footsteps coming towards him which caused him to come out of his trance. From the direction of camp, he saw Lilian making her way to him. When she had reached him she gave a soft smile and looked from him the down to the bowl of stew. "Are you going to talk now?" Lilian sighs.

"What is there to talk about?" Lilian quickly looked up from the bowl, her face slowly turning to a bitter stare.

"What do you mean 'what is there to talk about'?" She mocked his voice, making Arthur groan as he really didn't want this conversation as he was still confused on what to say or do. "That's really cheeky of you, you know?"

"Just leave it be. Will you stop being a whiny thing for one second of your life." Arthur had begun to raise his voice and his temper was running thin.

"No, I won't. Just talk, stop putting it off." Lilian argues back, he hands clenching at the bowl.

"What do you want me to say? It was just a kiss, like the other kisses before that and after ours. Get over it, it's nothing." Arthur regretted his words instantly as he watched the scowl on Lilian's face fall to a numb expression, her eyes not knowing where to look.

A few seconds of silence fell between them before Lilian began to nod, looking up at him with glossy eyes. "I'll leave it now." Lilian bit. "Here have your dinner, you asshole." The bowl was flung from Lilian's hand and onto Arthur before she quickly made her way back to camp. Arthur knew he deserved that as he wiped the bits of stew from his beard and clothing.

"Fuck." Arthur angrily spoke under his breath as he leant back against the tree, his head tilting back and looking up through the branches to the starry night. His feelings were eating him alive as he knew lying to Lilian only hurt him more when all he wanted deep down was the kiss they shared to have never have ended.
