Part 5

After a few beatings with pauses my dad finally left to go deal some drugs.

I stumbled upstairs to change into fave/clothes and headed to the park.

This time of day it should be completely abandoned.

It wasn't.

None other than Todoroki Shōto was sitting there.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Nothing much. Got into an argument with my father, you?"

"Received at least ten beatings from my father. Then he went off to buy some drugs."

"Must've been awful."

"I'm used to it, so I'm fine."

Todoroki looked guilty for some reason.

"How did you get that scar?" I asked.

"My father drove my mother to madness. She poured a kettle of boiling water over my eye."

"Ah, I'm sorry for asking."

"It's fine."

I sighed and sat down next to him on the bench.

In the distance I saw a figure walking to us. I recognized is to be Serenity.

"Wonder why she's here." I said, glancing at Todoroki.

He only gritted his teeth and scooted a bit closer to me.

"Todoroki! Your sister told me you ran away! I was so worried!" She said.

"Go away." Todoroki said.

Serenity looked at me, thinking he was talking to me.

I think Todoroki got really dizzy because he leaned his head on my shoulder and buried his face in my neck.

"Todoroki, are you okay?" I asked.

"Not really, no."

"Get away from him, you slut!" Serenity shrieked.

"You're gonna wake up the whole neighborhood." I mumbled.

She proceeded to forcefully pull me of the bench and take my place. As soon as she tried to touch Todoroki he backed away and stood up.

"That hurt." I said.

She hurt my wrist so bad that it had red marks on it.

"Why are you with her?" Serenity asked upset.

"Excuse you, but I'm a boy."

"No you're not."

"Sure am."

"Prove it."

"What."

Serenity stood up and pulled my shirt off to reveal my torso.

I quickly made sure they couldn't see my back.

"What the hell!" I said a bit loud.

I grabbed my shirt back and quickly put it back on.

Serenity glared fiercely at me, though I couldn't care less.

"Go away." Todoroki repeated.

"Yeah L/n." Serenity said.

"I mean you, Serenity."

"But I'm your fiancée."

"I don't want to marry you!"

"W-what?"

"I don't like you that way! I want to choose who I marry, not some stupid arranged marriage!"
